RE: Kodi DSPlayer – DirectShow Player for Windows - Talguy - 2017-04-05 Guys so I'm still struggling to get certain filters to only be active based on the file's name. Has anyone got custom merits to work based on file name and how did you do it? I'm trying to get FFDShowRaw to only be active when "{Animation}" or "{SVP}" is in the filenames so that SVP can start to interpolate and increase the frame rates. RE: Kodi DSPlayer – DirectShow Player for Windows - aeneas1 - 2017-04-06 a few probs, hoping for some help... - updated from 17.0 to 17.1, was prompted that a previous version of kodi already existed, chose to overwrite, and now dsplayer doesn't appear in player settings. - when i first installed dsplayer (when using kodi 17.0), dsplayer copied all of my custom skin edits (estuary) from the c:\kodi install path and placed them in an addon folder that it created in the c:\user\ path, which i thought was pretty cool... consequently i had a fresh install of kodi in the c:\kodi path (plus whatever files dplayer added), and all of my edits safe in another folder.... moreover, upon kodi launch, kodi would reference the c:\user addon folder dsplayer created so all of my edits would appear, it was great! - now, after the update, not only does dsplayer no longer appear in settings, but kodi doesn't reference the c:\user edits that i made, that dsplayer had saved, instead it launches the stock kodi estuary skin.... so how can i fix this other than just going back to 17.0? should i reinstall dsplayer? perhaps backup my estuary skin folder with the edits that dsplayer created, and then copy it back after the dsplayer install? any help would be greatly appreciated! RE: Kodi DSPlayer – DirectShow Player for Windows - aeneas1 - 2017-04-06 update.... - went ahead and installed dsplayer 17.0 over kodi 17.1 and it returned everything to everything to normal, of course it appears that it also reverted kodi 17.1 back to 17.0. - uninstalled everything, reinstalled kodi 17.1, and then installed dsplayer 17.1 (that was linked to earlier in this thread)... everything seemed to go pretty well, dsplayer shows up in player settings, but my custom estuary skin settings in the c:\user folder are no longer referenced, instead the sock estuary skin is displayed. so how do i get kodi to reference the estuary addon in the c:\users path when launched, instead of it using the stock skin? or should i just copy that instance of estuary over the instance that's in the c:\kodi install path? update: solved. It's all a matter of troubleshooting and selecting the correct settings for madVR. Be patient, it'll pay off. Thanks for the motivation :-) I did indeed test a lot last evening, using frame rate render time to find the madvr settings that give acceptable values (35ms or lower).. I was able to get smooth playback of H265 content now, but only when I set image upscaling to DXVA2, anything else will cause render time higher to much higher then acceptable (>42ms). See screenshots for madvr settings that work with acceptable frame render times. I do not understand why image upscaling settings make a difference anyhow on 2160p content since it does not need to be upscaled. Can someone explain me why this is? Is it normal for a GTX1070 that it can smoothly render hevc only when setting image upscaling to dxva2? RE: Kodi DSPlayer – DirectShow Player for Windows - _Andy_ - 2017-04-06 Can you make a screenshot of the madVR stats too? I would like to see the scaling chain if you don't use DXVA. RE: Kodi DSPlayer – DirectShow Player for Windows - ashlar - 2017-04-06 tington5, are you a f.lux user, per chance? Because that can seriously mess up madVR. RE: Kodi DSPlayer – DirectShow Player for Windows - tingtong5 - 2017-04-06 No idea what you are talking about (f.lux user), so I guess not ;-) RE: Kodi DSPlayer – DirectShow Player for Windows - _Andy_ - 2017-04-06 :-) Something like this The values in the red 'circle' is the chain. RE: Kodi DSPlayer – DirectShow Player for Windows - Cynwrig - 2017-04-06 Can someone help me. For some reason subtitles are default always off.. I can still enable them manually but it's starting to get annoying... subtitles auto loading in xysubfilter are on always loading for embedded and external and in splitter I specified for english subtitles. Thanks in advance. RE: Kodi DSPlayer – DirectShow Player for Windows - tingtong5 - 2017-04-06 (2017-04-06, 14:51)_Andy_ Wrote: Can you make a screenshot of the madVR stats too? Goto dsplayer, system settings, player, scroll down to dsplayer, and select manage madvr with load and save with dsplayer database,Then play a 4k clip/movie, press M and gto into the scaling settings on screen whilst the clip is playing and chose your profile and save per resoultion (sd, 720p, 1080p and 2160p).
