RE: Kodi DSPlayer – DirectShow Player for Windows - tingtong5 - 2017-04-07 Thanks a lot again! Yes I am using madvr settings from an older version! I will start with a clean sheet and try as you said! It's all a matter of troubleshooting and selecting the correct settings for madVR. Be patient, it'll pay off. Thanks for the motivation :-) RE: Kodi DSPlayer – DirectShow Player for Windows - tingtong5 - 2017-04-08 Still the same thing unfortunatly... I was thinking, my display (JVC X5000) uses e-shift technology, this means it does accept 4K input , but the native panel resolution is 1080P. The nvidia driver does list the 4K resolutions but is says "native" at the 1080P resolution, maybe this has something to do with it (downscaling, the upscaling again maybe, although madvr stats do not show this)? I also checked with gpu-z, GPU is not throttling its running at max clock speed. It seems to be cramming it into a smaller space. Also, if it's 4k material and you can output at 3840x2160 then no upscaling of luma should be happening. I'm sure someone will correct me if I'm wrong here.. Some ideas.. try setting 2160p23 in "display modes" in madVR and start playback try disabling crispen edges while you're debugging (2017-03-21, 05:46)_Andy_ Wrote: At github Krypton 17.1 is final. I hope aracnoz will release a new version of DSPlayer with new bug fixes / features as Krypton 17.1 is final but meanwhile i have merged the PRs from Krypton. If you like you can test/use my build. Thanks for this BTW, been running it for a few weeks without any obvious issues RE: Kodi DSPlayer – DirectShow Player for Windows - _Andy_ - 2017-04-08 @tingtong yes, i agree only1hammy. It seems something is wrong with output. In my example the movie is scaled from 1280,718 to 1920,1017. In your example something different happens. I guess this is causing so much load. If you unsure go to the doom9 forum and ask in the madVR thread. The developer of madVR and the power users can answer your question. I hope it's ok to link to another forum https://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?t=146228 RE: Kodi DSPlayer – DirectShow Player for Windows - tingtong5 - 2017-04-09 Yes, 3840x2160 is the resolution of the video. I do have "crop black bars" enabled in the madvr zoom settings. Maybe this is causing the issue?! The reason I have this enabled is to always get correct aspect ratio so my madvr rule to automatically change between zoom memories will work (which is not that important to me). I will test this and I am already posting in doom9 forum, although about a slightly different issue (downscaling 4K to 1080p). ;-) Thanks so far guys! :-) RE: Kodi DSPlayer – DirectShow Player for Windows - pagali - 2017-04-11 My installation of DSPlayer (17.1RC1) is working so well, I'm almost afraid to ask a question in case I jinx it. LOL! I've noticed that when I FF in a video the audio doesn't mute until I get the speed up to 8X. Regular VideoPlayer doesn't do this. (Tested both over and over with the same videos.) Is this due to a setting somewhere? RE: Kodi DSPlayer – DirectShow Player for Windows - tingtong5 - 2017-04-11 I finally managed to solve my video performance issues :-) 1. By disabling zoom reduce ringing artifacts in MadVR -> processing -> artifact removal. 2. By disabling crispen edges in MadVR -> processing -> image enhancements and enabling it instead in upscaling refinement settings only. 3. By disabling zoom small black bars away in MadVR -> processing -> zoom control. Making these 3 changes results in significant performance boost whic translates in much lower average frame rendering times :-) RE: Kodi DSPlayer – DirectShow Player for Windows - Moccafix - 2017-04-12 Does dsplayer effect live tv in Kodi? RE: Kodi DSPlayer – DirectShow Player for Windows - oldpainless - 2017-04-12 With madVR v0.91.8 now out in the wild, has anyone managed to get the dsplayer madvr settings repo to update yet? I know I had the same issue last time, so wanted to check. Maybe but I highly doubt we'll really get it on there as Lav Filters, Madvr are all extra installs. Well LAV comes packaged with DSPlayer but Madvr doesn't RE: Kodi DSPlayer – DirectShow Player for Windows - oldpainless - 2017-04-13 (2017-04-12, 14:39)Talguy Wrote:(2017-04-12, 10:25)oldpainless Wrote: With madVR v0.91.8 now out in the wild, has anyone managed to get the dsplayer madvr settings repo to update yet? ok thanks.
