Hello,
It seems that since I updated from XBMC to KODI, <cleanonupdate>true</cleanonupdate> is not working anymore.
I'm running on Win 8.1.
Manual cleaning perfectly works.

That's a known issue with 14.2. Please upgrade to a Isengard 15.0 RC1+ nightly build from http://mirrors.kodi.tv/nightlies/win32/ and report back. I am pretty sure it will work for you.
