RE: OpenELEC Testbuilds for RaspberryPi (Kodi 16.0) - danmedhurst - 2015-10-25

Version : 1024 (also tested on 1023)
Tested on : 2 seperate RPI2's
Database : MySQL
Directory Structure Example :

Action > Movie1.mkv
Movie2.mkv
Adventure > Movie1.mkv
Movie2.mkv

I have my movies organised in genre folders.. if i delete a movie from a folder and then clean the database, it seems like it removes all the movies in that genre folder from the database... not just the one i deleted..If i then update the library it adds back in the ones that are still there...

Any ideas?

Edit : Here's the log file for the relevant CleanDatabase command : http://xbmclogs.com/pg9acwgas

Edit : I just tried it on the Windows build of 16 and it does not appear to do it on that..

Too much steps just to play a movie and none of my 3D ISO plackback in 3D,unless i Enable 3D in player Menu.

I watched Edge of Tomrorrow yesterday with #1023 and it was perfect. I assume you have "Support MVC video (full frame 3D)" enabled in video/acceleration settings?
You'll need to provide more details if you want your problem resolved. A debug log (wiki) when playing a file would be a good start.
I also tested it with my one and only 3D blu-ray and it worked just fine. The only think that didn't not work correctly was resuming, as it resumed in 2D, but that's a know issue.

@movie78 - if you want stuff to be 3D by default you have to change your preferred playback mode to 3D in Settings -> Video -> Playback.

That should be fixed in latest builds (and worked for me). A debug log would be useful if latest build is not working for you (perhaps you are getting a filename I'm not expecting).

Thanks.

@Milhouse looks like my PR to fix TV show cleaning (#8133) causes problems with multiple movies in the same folder, you may want to drop it from next build.

@menakite: Will do, thanks.

RE: OpenELEC Testbuilds for RaspberryPi (Kodi 16.0) - doveman2 - 2015-10-26

Typical! A couple of days after updating from #1015x to #1022 I got a libnfs-related crash.

It seemed to be triggered by my rebooting from Win 8.1 to Win 10, where only the former has Hanewin NFS Server installed. If it would be useful I could try going back to #1015x (or a newer debug build if you want to make one) to try and trigger the crash the same way.

Anyway, the crashlog is here: https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B1fDI89phEESSHZaQ3ZESlBSMFU/view?usp=sharing

I've uploaded the log from after it rebooted as well, just in case it shows anything useful as the NFS server wasn't available then either: https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B1fDI89phEESVURBTGlqcDlkcjg/view?usp=sharing

RE: OpenELEC Testbuilds for RaspberryPi (Kodi 16.0) - Milhouse - 2015-10-26

Ah yes, sorry forgot to reply to you both on this - so presumably if there are no crashes after a week with #1015x, then it's possible that disabling the compiler optimisations has actually fixed (or avoided) the problem. I need to add a comment on the libnfs github.

Edit: Just looking at your #1022 crashlog, that doesn't appear to be strictly libnfs related - it seems to be a problem with Python and/or vfs, but it is doing something with NFS at the time of the crash. I wonder if the "nfs_service failed" issue that precedes the crash by 2 hours is related.

Hmm, possibly. I haven't used the Pi today so I don't know if the NFS server had a problem but the PC it's running on was up all day until I rebooted to Win 10.

RE: OpenELEC Testbuilds for RaspberryPi (Kodi 16.0) - herrmeier01 - 2015-10-26

My experience with the actual developer release is very pleasant.
I switched from 5.95.5 and try to keep it as a rolling release and do updates as much as possible. Sometimes it happen that I have some strange behaviors with the live-tv which will gone when I do a clean install again. So maybe it could also be a good advice for some other testers to do a clean install from time to time.
Does someone know if there is an easy way for just clean up settings an keep add-ons? Can I just delete "/storage/.kodi/userdata/"?

You can use the built in Openelec addon to backup and restore your installation. There is also a setting to do a soft reset which I assume just deletes the userdata folder.

RE: OpenELEC Testbuilds for RaspberryPi (Kodi 16.0) - herrmeier01 - 2015-10-27

@Jdiesel Thanks you for your help.
The soft reset delete the add-ons too. But anyway maybe it's a good idea to clean up everything to be sure not keep any inconsistencies.

RE: OpenELEC Testbuilds for RaspberryPi (Kodi 16.0) - jjslegacy - 2015-10-27

audio seems off on the latest build - will have to do more testing from some non streamed sources but haven't seen this before.

RE: OpenELEC Testbuilds for RaspberryPi (Kodi 16.0) - asfi - 2015-10-27

Hello,

is it possible to play .mk3d or something like this ? MKV with full frame like a ISO 3D.

MK3D is the best because we can rip BR3D without re-encode the file. It support AVC+MVC format.

I try .mk3d but Kodi (through my Pi 2) play it in 2D.

Thank you.
