RE: OpenELEC Testbuilds for RaspberryPi (Kodi 16.0) - polo_joe - 2015-09-18 Tried the _x. files, now I get picture freeze when starting 1080i50 livetv channel, audio works. 720p channels work fine. @popcornmix RE: OpenELEC Testbuilds for RaspberryPi (Kodi 16.0) - popcornmix - 2015-09-18 (2015-09-18, 17:31)polo_joe Wrote: Tried the _x. files, now I get picture freeze when starting 1080i50 livetv channel, audio works. 720p channels work fine. Are you saying behaviour is the same as before the update, or worse? Can you try a few times - you may be hitting an unrelated hang caused by the VideoPlayer switch. RE: OpenELEC Testbuilds for RaspberryPi (Kodi 16.0) - polo_joe - 2015-09-18 Tried several times behavior is much worse. Picture is stuck audio is going on. I'm not able to stop the tvchannel unless I do a ssh reboot. I also get some audio distortion since last build updates. RE: OpenELEC Testbuilds for RaspberryPi (Kodi 16.0) - Milhouse - 2015-09-19 New OpenELEC Jarvis build #0918: RPi / RPi2 (Supercedes previous build) Code: # uname -a Based on tip of OpenELEC master (2eec9240, changelog) and tip of XBMC master (3413c15f, changelog) with the following modifications:
RE: OpenELEC Testbuilds for RaspberryPi (Kodi 16.0) - Saner - 2015-09-19 Still getting bad audio with MMAL acceleration. http://sprunge.us/feHF https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=z-mHHL5zUrI Does nobody really have any ideas OXM pass through works fine. Edit, sound system is Panasonic SC-BTT400EBK RE: OpenELEC Testbuilds for RaspberryPi (Kodi 16.0) - popcornmix - 2015-09-19 (2015-09-19, 08:21)Saner Wrote: Still getting bad audio with MMAL acceleration. Is this problem specific to these test builds? If so when did the problem appear? RE: OpenELEC Testbuilds for RaspberryPi (Kodi 16.0) - Saner - 2015-09-19 No it's a problem in general, I have had it since I have had my pi. I know my hardware is good (outside of the pi2) because I use the same cable for other things and that passes through fine. As OXM passes through, I am presuming that means the pi2's hardware is fine. Can you describe your Audio_settings (wiki)? Do some audio codecs play okay with MMAL? If so what formats play okay and what don't. What happens if you bypass the sound system and play audio through the TV? RE: OpenELEC Testbuilds for RaspberryPi (Kodi 16.0) - Saner - 2015-09-19 Sure. Ok audio settings. Output Device = HDMI Number of channels = 2 Output configuration = optimized Stereo upmix = ticked Maintain volume on downmix = ticked Boost centre = 0db Resample quality = medium Support 8 Chanel = unticked Audio output latency = 100nd Enable dsp = unticked Play gui sounds = only when playback stopped Enable passthrough = ticked Passthrough output device = HDMI (This is greyed out) Dolby digital ac3 = ticked Enable Dolby digital transcoding = ticked Dolby digital plus = unticked Dts = unticked Ok, if I untick enable passthrough and use the tv it works fine. As to codecs it seems to effect everything (even music) I certainly can't fund anything that plays RE: OpenELEC Testbuilds for RaspberryPi (Kodi 16.0) - popcornmix - 2015-09-19 (2015-09-19, 13:11)Saner Wrote: Ok audio settings. You are asking for all audio to be transcoded to ac3. I suspect your TV doesn't support AC3. omxplayer doesn't support transcoding so will behave as if that option is disabled, which is why it works. Just disable all passthrough options and you will be fine. RE: OpenELEC Testbuilds for RaspberryPi (Kodi 16.0) - Saner - 2015-09-19 But if I disable passthrough well I get Dolby digital / dts etc.. Or well I be stuck with just basic stereo? They are the exact settings I used on my old htpc (This was an ubuntu box) that I changed from when I bought the pi Edit // Seems to be working I think, I unticked transcoding. Will test, thank you Edit // If I untick everything under passthrough I only get FL FR and CTR , the rears don't work RE: OpenELEC Testbuilds for RaspberryPi (Kodi 16.0) - airportmac - 2015-09-19 IPTV Simple Client take a long time (15 seconds) for switching channels. It's possible fix this issue (w/Openelec 4.2.1 switch channel is very fast (1 second))? Hardware is RaspberryPi 1 Model B RE: OpenELEC Testbuilds for RaspberryPi (Kodi 16.0) - db25 - 2015-09-19 Hello friends, I tried to upgrade to this version starting from a clean install with OpenELEC 5.0.8 and after updating I get this error: RE: OpenELEC Testbuilds for RaspberryPi (Kodi 16.0) - Bor_NL - 2015-09-19 I also have a problem with the audio output it gives a crackling sound while watching iptv from my provider with 5.1 AAC audio in it. I'm using a using a hifiberry digi+ and the problem started to occur after #0914 build. I have no problems using AC3 audio in movies and series with later builds. The weird thing is that the crackling goes away after some time but when switching channels the problem starts over again. Output Device = ALSA (Hifiberry) Output configuration = optimized Limit sampling rate (kHz)= 48.0 Stereo upmix = unticked Boost centre = 0db Resample quality = medium Keep audio device alive= 1 minute Play gui sounds = Never Enable passthrough = ticked Passthrough output device = Alsa (Hifiberry) Dolby digital ac3 capable receiver = ticked Enable Dolby digital transcoding = ticked DTS capable receiver = ticked I hope this can be solved and thanks for the awesome builds. Yes, I'm aware of a loud crack sound that occurs on occasion (mostly on start or playback or just after a seek, but can occur when adjusting audio sync in other cases like buffering). Enabling omxplayer should work around it for now. FernetMenta has an idea what it is so hopefully a fix soon. |
