I just installed this addon in kodi, and tried to play a game, but.. nothing launches. Do I have to install external emulators? I'm on Windows 10. Thanks in advance. Thanks for the quick response. So I installed "RetroPlayer 17alpha1 pre-release 2016-04-20" and unfortunately, it's still doing the same thing. No matter what rom I click on, it goes to load, then stops after downloading. Is there anything else I'm missing? For now, I'd actually suggest using the latest stable release of Kodi, along with an install of retroarch. The wiki and wizard will get you setup in a few minutes. RE: Internet Archive ROM Launcher - bakito - 2016-04-22 i assume that the change that you made breaks my favourite thou, my " capcom" list using iarl favourite does not work anymore and I had to redone my kodi favourite becuse they were broken too! Am I right? Or this was an entire different problem? Trying to figure out the easiest way to run your command. I was able to put the shield in developer mode if that helps. I'm also able to confirm that I can navigate to the temp iarl temp folder in retroarch and successfully start the game. Onizuka, I finally got an android machine working. Actually, it's a virtual machine on my mac running android, Kodi, and retroplayer, but it works for testing android. At any rate. The last release of my addon worked for me. I didn't have to change anything. Given this, I assume the issue must be a permissions issue with the Nvidia shield. Hopefully there's another developer out there with an Nvidia shield that can help us out. Or are there other Nvidia Shield users out there? If so, did you root your shield to get it working? RE: Internet Archive ROM Launcher - onizuka - 2016-04-22 Got it. My Shield is not rooted. Best bet would be to see if we can get some input from the resident Shield Android guru (and former Kodi Android maintainer and Shield owner) Koying. He's currently keeping us Shield folks cutting edge with SPMC. I suppose we can shoot him a msg? RE: Internet Archive ROM Launcher - yattaah - 2016-04-24 Great work zachmorris! I think I found a little problem on Linux (Ubuntu 16.04). IARL executes this and RetroArch won't start: Code: 15:51:54 T:140388992022272 NOTICE: IARL: External launch command sent: "/usr/bin/retroarch" -- -L /usr/lib/libretro/bsnes_mercury_accuracy_libretro.so "/home/yattaah/.kodi/userdata/addon_data/plugin.program.iarl/temp_iarl/3 Ninjas Kick Back (USA).sfc" I think the "--" is the problem, without it I can execute this command in my terminal and it works. I'll update the external launch database for the next update. RE: Internet Archive ROM Launcher - zachmorris - 2016-04-24 I'm working on some new archives, mainly MAME / MESS softlist game sets. These include a bunch of stuff like Colecovision, Commodore 64, Apple 2GS, X68000, SharpX1, NeoGeo CD (finally got that working), and a lot of others. MAME softlists seem complicated, but I think I have a good way to automate the whole thing for launching (at least using an external install of retroarch, not sure how / if this can work with retroplayer yet). Any suggestions on what systems I should add first? RE: Internet Archive ROM Launcher - onizuka - 2016-04-24 Gamecube an option? RE: Internet Archive ROM Launcher - lefty420 - 2016-04-25 Commodore 64 and zx spectrum would be awesome additions. Gamecube would also be great also anything that can replace the need for chdman. See: https://archive.org/details/tosec and https://archive.org/details/softwarelibrary_msdos_games The newst game console there looks to be the Sega 32x (released in year-end 1994), and the latest game console there from Nintendo is the Super Famicom / SNES (Super Nintendo Entertainment System). See: Seeing as I'm currently using the Add-on with Dreamcast games I figured Gamecube was a possibility as Dreamcast and Gamecube are technically the same generation (at least I like to think so). RE: Internet Archive ROM Launcher - garbear - 2016-04-28 Update on the RetroPlayer front - The player has been rewritten from scratch, and no longer controls which libretro core to use. It will respect the "gameclient" fileitem property. ATM the user is only prompted to choose a libretro core inside the MyGames window if "gameclient" is not already set. RE: Internet Archive ROM Launcher - lozad - 2016-04-29 Hello zach great work on this project.
