Thanks for the debug log.
First problem:
IARL: 7Z conversion failed:
Processing archive: ...
Error: Can not open file as archive

It looks like the file you attempted to download did not download correctly. For some of the archives, you need to provide login credentials to archive.org for them to work. If you provided login credentials, they aren't working. I actually just uploaded a new version of the addon today that will show an error message if the download fails due to login or an empty downloaded file. That will hopefully clear things up for the user to tell them when they need to change a setting.

For setup of any other game list you're interested in, see the wiki. Particularly, follow instructions for 5. Configure individual IARL archives

I realize setup for this addon isn't 100% foolproof (emulator setup in general is not always plug-and-play unfortunately), but I'm trying to make the wiki and faq as clear as possible on setup. If there's something in there you think should be clarified, let me know.

thanks for your time amd patience zach! so I only need to register at archive, org and place my login data in the iarl addon settings? If yes i did it and did not work. Also do I need to install librelec by boot on my C drive?
PS: Strangely after i reinstalled kodi and iarl 1.5.9, nes, n64 and genesis have disappeared from the list.

You may want to check your username and pass to make sure it's correct. In general, if a CD sized game looks like it downloads in less than a second or two, you can be assured it didn't actually download. Again, the new version of IARL will show you an error message for this (instead of trying to launch the empty file).

The NES and Genesis lists are still alive and well in the addon, so I'm not sure what the deal is there.

Yea i guess im out of luck :/ I even created another account on archive.org but it seems that it keeps giving me the same error. I guess im going to install the new version of kodi beta to see if i can make this work. Is it possible to add NDS and PSP to the list somehow?

RE: Internet Archive ROM Launcher - GriffeyJuni0r - 2016-12-24

I'm having an issue re-playing some games that I've downloaded and played successfully the first time.

I have the setting to play games that exist locally - It seems to work on some games, but it won't launch others and gives me a script error.

Thanks for the log! That looks like a bug, it's put the folder in the path twice..

RE: Internet Archive ROM Launcher - robbryjo - 2016-12-25

Im using RPI 3 with libreelec and this addon.

1. How to optimize the performance on n64 and psx. my games are running not smooth and are lagging horrible..
2. My games are starting on a detected core for psx. How can i change the core and what are the best cores for psx and n64?
3. How can i use external emulators for IARL (which is a super nice plugin, ty for this one)

RE: Internet Archive ROM Launcher - jxke - 2016-12-26

Tried to chmod directory for /7za on Fire TV box.
Failed. Operation not permitted. Do not have root access because it's a newer Fire TV box.

Everything but the PSX roms work. Can't get past the converting issue.

Any ideas?

RE: Internet Archive ROM Launcher - iiPsychotic - 2016-12-26

I'm new to this... Do disc based games not work on android devices? (Sega cd, sega saturn)Huh I've been trying for months on my fire tv and nvidia shield tablet. Please help because all cartridge games run great. Im using retroarch. I either get a converting error or the screen just goes black trying to launch retroarch.

RE: Internet Archive ROM Launcher - cchocas - 2016-12-26

RE: Internet Archive ROM Launcher - wallacebw - 2016-12-28

First... Thanks for the work.

Second: a question / ask:

I have downloaded and stored the romsets I need / want to a NAS as my kodi box doesn't have enough storage and it is located at a cabin without internet access. I keep movies, tv, games, etc. there updated via sneakernet Smile (usb drives). I was able to create an XML datfile which referenced my nas over anonymous FTP, e.g.:

<emu_baseurl>ftp://ftp.host.name/Games/Kodi/Roms/3DO/</emu_baseurl>

This works, but is there a way to access the baseurl via SMB? urllib doesn't support SMB://. Is there a way to add SMB support? (maybe parse the protocol prefix and use the native kodi FS tools for non http(s) )?

Just a thought.

RE: Internet Archive ROM Launcher - moronim - 2016-12-29

is anyone seeing issues with MS-DOS files? any MS-DOS file I select is downloaded as a 0 byte zip file.

Awesome, appreciate it!

I was also wondering how you add games to the addon - Is it just a matter of finding the link/game ID on archive.org? There are a few classic Dreamcast games that I feel would be great additions (NFL 2K2, Virtua Tennis)

This forum uses Lukasz Tkacz MyBB addons.
