I cant seem to get it to work Works for me. The only requirement is that the link to the zip file is correct and accessible, so google drive permissions should be setup for "anyone with the download link can download" or whatever the option says. RE: Internet Archive ROM Launcher - trinib - 2017-02-28 Sorry to bother again but im just not seeing this in any forum .. how do i get iarl to launch to DosBox Turbo and play rom ?? Some quick googling shows that app doesn't support command line launching, so you'd have to open the app and then manually load the conf file that IARL creates for the game. I believe retroarch android has a working dosbox core though, so why wouldn't you just use that? RE: Internet Archive ROM Launcher - trinib - 2017-02-28 LOL I'm glad you ask ..Retroarch Works GREAT but i use a great customizable gamepad app .And what happens, retroarch tends to drop frames with that wireless connection (host and client) via the app and i get alot better frame rate in stand alone emulators with that gamepad app .. RE: Internet Archive ROM Launcher - mountbaldy - 2017-03-01 I have been having a heck of a time getting the IARL up and going. I'm using a LibreElec box running 7.95.3 8.0 (Kernel: Linux 4.9.8) I'm running Krypton v17.0 Git:a10c504 (Feb 10 2017) with the Spinz-TV Skin. I have downloaded the RetroArch Launcher. I set my System Type in the settings to LibreElec x86. The launcher runs... Loads the list of systems... When you try and run one of the games... The launcher begins to load it spins for a while and then nothing happens. It goes back to the list of games... I even tried running this through GameStarter... It will close Kodi... Than it will start to load and returns back to Kodi... The version of RetroArch i'm using is for Openelec.tv 1.3.3. I also have enabled Advanced Emulator Launcher but cannot launch any downloaded ROMS either... What am I missing? I"m sure it's something painfully simple. Thanks! If it doesn't work, post a debug log where you attempt to launch a game. There's a new version of the addon I'm just uploading now, which will also provide a context menu item to review the launch commands for each game list, so you can review what command the addon will send to launch a game. RE: Internet Archive ROM Launcher - zachmorris - 2017-03-03 Version 1.6.0 of IARL is available in the repository. Changes include: - Update to Amlogic (S805 / S905) external command database - Update to fix dreamcast game launching for locally existing files and fixed issue #26 - Updated wizard for gamestarter and for new game archive lists - Added some code for game window skinning purposes - Added setting to autoplay trailer - Added post DL action to create M3U file for PS1 from zip archives (Works with all PS1 cores I tried, and is good for multi disc games) - Added external commands for additional Android emulators (thanks trinib) - Updated external launch database for renamed libretro cores - Added post dl commands for gamestarter Amiga (hopefully this will work now, more testing needed) - Added ability to review launch command from context menu - Added MAME 2014 archives (v0.159) in line with libretro mame 2014 core (for best compatibility) - Changed default MAME core to MAME 2016 where available (v0.174) for best compatibility - Rescraped PS1 and Best of PS1, split into filtered and unfiltered lists (Android users rejoice!) - Rescraped Sega Saturn (Android users rejoice) - Rescraped Rescraped NES (1757 Games Filtered, 2756 Unfiltered) and Best of NES. This change was the bulk of the work. I think / hope users will find artwork to load infinitely faster. This is in-line with a new project I'm starting on for general scraping of game metadata for Kodi / Retropie / etc. (more on that in another thread at some point). RE: Internet Archive ROM Launcher - trinib - 2017-03-03 Hey Zack appreciate the thanks in the update log..YOU SAID "Added post DL action to create M3U file for PS1 from zip archives".. I actually forgot one more: - Rescraped Sega Dreamcast (Android users rejoice) All of the previous problem children (7zip archives) are worked around for now (zip archives). RE: Internet Archive ROM Launcher - trinib - 2017-03-03 THANKS ALOT ... And yes i was wondering if you fixed dreamcast as well..gonna donate !!!! .. RE: Internet Archive ROM Launcher - SoberRenegade - 2017-03-03 I have the Windows 10 AppStore version of Kodi. ROMs are not launching properly. This version uses the directory below for the user/program files: Quote:Users\xxx\AppData\Local\Packages\XBMCFoundation.Kodi_4n2hpmxwrvr6p\LocalCache\Roaming\Kodi I see the ROM files getting successfully downloaded to the expected sub-folders there. However, from the log, it looks like the Internet Archive ROM Launcher is still trying to launch the ROM from Quote:Users\[user]\AppData\Roaming\Kodi[...] Therefore, nothing happens when I try to launch the ROM. If I manually copy the files over, it works as expected. Is there a way for me to change where the ROMs get downloaded to or loaded from? I didn't see anything in the configuration options. I haven't tried this version of Kodi, but the userdata folder is found using special://profile as documented here. Seems like this might be a Kodi problem if it's not correct? You can change where files are downloaded on a per archive list basis. However, the addon only monitors the size of the temp folder. See here. RE: Internet Archive ROM Launcher - jdig4240 - 2017-03-03 FYI, I had to re-run the setup wizard, to get everything working again after the update. Thank you Zach!!! Super Mario games working again, and PS1 WORKS!! RE: Internet Archive ROM Launcher - trinib - 2017-03-03 grrr ..I guess the ps1 still does not work for android ...only getting archive returned no file or requires login .. and i am log in RE: Internet Archive ROM Launcher - zachmorris - 2017-03-03 (2017-03-03, 06:29)trinib Wrote: grrr ..I guess the ps1 still does not work for android ...only getting archive returned no file or requires login .. and i am log in After the addon is updated to 1.6.0, you should receive a message regarding updating the game lists. If you accept, the addon will replace the old lists with the new ones. |
