Please help, thanks!!

Bummer, looks like a bad copy paste error. Although this bug is not seen on my tests OSX or Linux or Windows... Maybe it's a Kodi/python version thing? Python I don't think i fully understand.

Anyway, I've updated github, i'll create a repo update soon. In the meantime, the error is fixed with changing this one line.

Another quick fix by the man! I confirm the fix works, thanks again Zach

I wish I read this earlier! Was setting up a fresh install and it was baffling me why I couldn't run the wizard. The master zip from github fixed me up.

It was a bug. Should be fixed now, if you update IARL. Version 1.6.2 is available with the fix.

RE: Internet Archive ROM Launcher - nmcaullay - 2017-04-07

Out of interest, does anyone know what System Type one would select wen configuring iARL when using the LE build for Rpi from http://forum.kodi.tv/showthread.php?tid=173361?

When i select either of the LibreElec options it wants to know where the RetroArch System Folder is. I didn't think Retroplayer used RetroArch?

Sorry if this is outlined in the setup/config or in the 920 previous posts on this thread. I just couldnt find it.

Cheers

It's probably not documented all that well. I need to up the Retroplayer support as I haven't touched it in quite a while.
That being said, the external launchers settings tab doesn't really effect Retroplayer functionality for the addon at all. You can set all the game lists to play with retroplayer by going to the wizard tab, choose "Set Me Up For" and then select "Retroplayer", and then run it.

You can also mix and match and use some external launch and some Retroplayer. If you want to set individual archives to launch with Retroplayer, just select the archive, bring up the context menu, then select "Update Launcher" and choose "Retroplayer".

MAME/MESS systems like C64, Coleco, Atari 800, etc are a little wonky right now (I'll update that at some point), but you can set the System Folder on the external launchers tab to
Code:
..path_to_userdata/addon_data/game.libretro.mame/system

And IARL will then download the needed hash files to the correct system folder. If you don't care about these systems, then you can just skip this step.

Whats the best core for PS1? I have all the cores installed and the bios files, just opens to black screen, tried all the cores. Any ideas?

The error you show is 'normal'. Thats just stating there are no files in the folder listed, which is true, since they're technically not there. It's a secondary effect from being able to open the ROM Info page. There's no way I've been able to find to suppress that error yet, but it doesn't cause any issues.

The black screen thing definitely sounds like a BIOS issue. The bios files need to be named exactly correctly and be the all lower case, just google for the MD5 sum to find the correct file:
Code:
scph5500.bin (MD5 sum: 8dd7d5296a650fac7319bce665a6a53c)

Now Question, I notice in the log, although I have the special paths set correctly in IARL settings:
http://jed.one/Backgrounds/Screenshot%20(426).png

When I look in the log it states that its launching from:
"C:\Users\Dell\AppData\Roaming\Kodi\userdata\retroarch\retroarch.exe" -L "C:\Users\Dell\AppData\Roaming\Kodi\userdata\retroarch\cores\pcsx_rearmed_libretro.dll" "C:\Users\Dell\AppData\Roaming\Kodi\userdata\addon_data\plugin.program.iarl\temp_iarl\ATrain_Trains_Power_Money\ATrain_Trains_Power_Money.m3u"

Is that normal?

Heres a log: http://jed.one/Backgrounds/kodi.log

Thats normal. Special path is decoded to the actual path when the addon starts. Assuming you copy the userdata folder to another computer with a different path, it will translate it correctly on the new computer.

Ok, ill keep trying. Maybe ill look for a different set of bios files. I figured the special paths are working since pretty much all the other launchers seem to be launching the rom just fine. Thanks!

RE: Internet Archive ROM Launcher - jdig4240 - 2017-04-08

Hey bud, since you figured out how to launch Retroarch from userdata, you might be able to help with something. How can I make a shortcut in Kodi to open Retroarch.exe thats located in special://home/userdata/retroarch/retroarch.exe? I would like to have a shortcut to Retroarch in Kodi if possible to make it easy to open and adjust settings. Any idea? Tried Advanced launcher, but doesnt seem to work from special paths.

I threw together a game list just to launch Retretroarch and not launch a game. For those interested, just save the pastebin to a file like RetroArch_App.xml and put the file in:
Code:
..path_to_userdata/addon_data/plugin.program.iarl/dat_files

OSX File
Windows File
Linux File

Android, LibreElec, and OpenElec addons already have functionality to launch Retroarch. The only caveat is that currently IARL has to download something before it attempts to launch, so all this file will do is download the Internet Archive logo image (3kb file) and then launch RetroArch.

This forum uses Lukasz Tkacz MyBB addons.
