I installed Jarvis/Mimic 3 on top of Isengard. Maybe my problems are caused by some remnants of the old installation conflicting with the new? Can I do I fresh start for the UI/skins but keep the media library and system settings.

It's strange no one is reporting similar problem. I'm using Ubuntu 14.04.4 LTS + Kodi 16.0 and mimic 3.3.1 (resetted skin settings) on two different PCs.

Maybe it has to do with python (have 2.7.5 installed) errors in the log file?

That error is related to the skinshortcuts script, you should post the entire debug log in the script thread.

Unless you are actually experiencing any issues with the main menu being built, please don't

That particular error is handled by the script - it is saying that it can't find the file it uses to check whether the menu needs to be built, and so will build the menu. It is not something you need to worry about (unless, as I say, you are actually experiencing issues with the script...)

For weather, there is a radio button in the side menu for the basic view.

Not sure what to do about genre icons. Do they show up correctly with your language in any other skins?

I am missing the "current playlist" entry in the left sidepanel under ACTIONS... I am 100% sure, that below Version ~3.2 this was working as I using this option frequently. I switched back to Confluence and Aeon Nox and both skins will show me the "current playlist" entry under ACTIONS @ the sidepanel

The genre icons do not show up at all, in any skin. Except that mimic shows the matching ones. Tried changing the locale too, no success... Something is weird with with my installation. Sorry to bother you!
