Same for me, I tested Plex on Apple TV 4 and Plex Media server on my Synology DS213J and removed all of this stuff after a week of play !
Audio was only in stereo mode even with Passthrough activated (no AC3, no DTS), Series where without Subtitles (no ".srt" support) but the biggest issue was that Plex Media server was using a lot of my NAS CPU and was always preventing my NAS from going into hybernating mode (even when there was no activity on my home network)...
Imagine your hard drives always running 7/7 24/24 even when you are sleeping in bed... Too bad...
I really wonder about a Kodi or MrMc Media Center solution for my Apple TV 4 !

I'm pretty sure asking won't speed things up... Heck, If I thought that would help, I'd have spammed the forum by now myself! I'm ready to ditch my FireTV and move over to AppleTV for all my video needs.

I think the only thing I saw in terms of when to expect a release, the wait was expected to be measured in weeks, not months, so there's that.

The important thing is that it is in progress. I'm sure as soon as it meets the App Store guidelines, and MrMC is happy with it, it will be released.

yes, you could if kodi's codebase supported tvos. Which it does not right now.

when your finished coding will you be testing with testflight? currently testing afew apps that way seems really good way to iron out afew bugs
