WeTek Core (24p HD Netflix / Android Lollipop / OpenELEC / 4K HEVC) - tredman - 2015-12-30 (2015-12-30, 13:24)wrxtasy Wrote: It must be Xmas or a New years gift.... as This is great news and it works brilliantly on my shield. I really hate using air mouse, so this is very useful. If someone could do the same for the iplayer app it would be even better RE: WeTek Core (24p HD Netflix / Android Lollipop / OpenELEC / 4K HEVC) - francovilar - 2015-12-30 (2015-12-30, 13:24)wrxtasy Wrote: It must be Xmas or a New years gift.... as Thank you very much. My only complain (not wetek fault) is now fixed. great news. RE: WeTek Core (24p HD Netflix / Android Lollipop / OpenELEC / 4K HEVC) - wrxtasy - 2015-12-31 I will keep adding these Android TV OS Apps that have been tweaked to run on the regular Lollipop 5.1.1 OS on the Core as I find them. ABC iView for Android TV OS is a great addition for me here in Oz too. This box keeps getting better and better as these modded Android TV OS Apps get released. Just a BIG TIP for everyone, I definitely recommend tweaking the Core's CPU Governor to Interactive as it noticeably speeds everything up without stressing the device, see here: http://wetekforums.com/vb5/forum/wetek-core/android-aa/24802-netflix-android-tv?p=24817#post24817 RE: WeTek Core (24p HD Netflix / Android Lollipop / OpenELEC / 4K HEVC) - MicMac - 2015-12-31 I made a backup of the crackle app from my nvidia shield tv. The app works great on the core. The Android tv version of Pluto.tv crashes. RE: WeTek Core (24p HD Netflix / Android Lollipop / OpenELEC / 4K HEVC) - hdmkv - 2015-12-31 Hmm, will need to try extracting other apps from Shield to try on Core. I will gather a bunch of them together in a Folder as well down the track and Post a Link on Page # 1 to share. APK Mirror seems to have a bunch of TV OS Apps for Android Lollipop, a lot extracted from the Shield. http://www.apkmirror.com/apk/ RE: WeTek Core (24p HD Netflix / Android Lollipop / OpenELEC / 4K HEVC) - ssh_reconnect - 2015-12-31 There is also this Google+ page that is worth trawling for APKs: [Android TV, Shield TV, Nexus TV, Razer TV, Kodi TV] RE: WeTek Core (24p HD Netflix / Android Lollipop / OpenELEC / 4K HEVC) - wrxtasy - 2015-12-31 HBO Now v1.3.0 Installs and Starts, I have no paid account to test it out with tho. I may sign up for a free trial. http://www.apkmirror.com/?s=hbo+now&post_type=apps_post I don't think people realise that devices like the nVIDIA Shield are actually running essentially Android Lollipop 5.x.x as the underlying OS. The same as the WeTek Core. What you see on the main GUI screen on the Shield is the Android TV launcher itself, which gives you all the bling and remote control friendliness. The Core also has its own custom launcher, and I believe it can also run a tweaked version of the Android TV OS launcher. I remember seeing video of that somewhere. Maybe we may see that ATV OS launcher sometime in the future on the Core as well Apps like Netflix for Android TV OS have checks built into them to make them exclusively run from this Android TV OS launcher on Android TV certified devices. Bypass those checks and you are good to go on a regular Android Lollipop OS like the Core it seems. The App then operates the same as it does on a Android TV OS device. (5.1 audio appears to be an issue with Netflix) This is a Netflix or Google restriction for exclusivity with Android TV OS devices. Not all Android TV OS Apps appear to have this restriction as YouTube and other Apps demonstrate. Thank god the Wetek Core is a Google Widevine Level 1 certified device for 1080p DRM streaming goodness RE: WeTek Core (24p HD Netflix / Android Lollipop / OpenELEC / 4K HEVC) - Pulp2000 - 2015-12-31 Hi I'm a noob in this, need some clarification on this "Google Certified device (Widevine level) " in the first post. Will there be issues (technical etc) if we use this hardware to install 3rd party addons? Will it prevent the installation or allow the installation but send some info through backdoor? In my mSD I can find both files but Kernel one is an img file. It is not the same file that I can find y target directory. Maybe I must rename the new one to add the extension? Happy New Year to all of you! RE: WeTek Core (24p HD Netflix / Android Lollipop / OpenELEC / 4K HEVC) - hdmkv - 2015-12-31 Yep, just change the extension to kernel.img Re: 3D, wrxtasy PM'd me a new build, which now plays 3D ISO, but in top/bottom mode, so it's close. What'd weird is that when I tried VidOn's XBMC (sorry wrxtasy , just to test) on a cheapo S905 box I just got, it too played in top/bottom. The VidOn app doesn't play 3D ISO's on Core; only audio can be heard. RE: WeTek Core (24p HD Netflix / Android Lollipop / OpenELEC / 4K HEVC) - sdsnyr94 - 2016-01-01 Hey Guys - Sorry if this has been asked, but I lost track of this thread around page 30 and it's getting to long to catch up with... I just got my core today... Are there any Jarvis Beta builds specifically for the core, should I just install from the Kodi nightlies, or should I stay on 15.2? So far, I am loving this little device! Edit - I ask this because my databases are updated due to other devices that are on Jarvis. Thanks. Edit Again - I should specify Android... I want the native Netflix / Hulu to launch from within Kodi... make for a very nice WAF! RE: WeTek Core (24p HD Netflix / Android Lollipop / OpenELEC / 4K HEVC) - clickingfast - 2016-01-01 Justed ordered the WeTek Core. I am so excited Starting Netflix directly from Kodi would be awsome RE: WeTek Core (24p HD Netflix / Android Lollipop / OpenELEC / 4K HEVC) - wrxtasy - 2016-01-01 @sdsnyr94 Yes just download the latest ARM Android nightly and that will give you Kodi Jarvis 16.0 beta5 This version is pretty close to a release candidate and stable when i have been using it. Any Android App can be added as a Favourite from within Kodi. Some Skins can even show these favourites on the main screen. The WeTek Core launcher can be configured to boot straight into Kodi if you want that as well. Where do I find that?... I've gone through everything and must be missing it. Also, in an earlier post I believe you mentioned that you could not turn off the mouse once you turned it on... I found out by accident that if you press the power button once, the mouse cursor goes away! |
