RE: NHL TV™ - vinnie1234 - 2016-12-12

Thank you for this addon, it's great! Can someone explain why I get much better quality using this add-on as opposed to using the official NHL app?

I've tried the official app on:

PS3
Apple TV
Android Box (Minix u1).
Roku

The quality on these apps is ok, seems to be 480p with a low fps. Using this add-on, the quality shows 720p and it appears to have much higher fps.

RE: NHL TV™ - jacanuck - 2016-12-12

This addon works fantastic on almost all of my devices, especially in 5000Kbps setting.

On one android based device (a vbox quad+ from vmedia, that also runs my tv service -> http://www.vmedia.ca/en/vbox/ ), the stream cannot play in 5000Kbps. While the audio is smooth, the video stutters horribly, and a quick look at the stats by pressing "O" on my keyboard show the dropped frames counter climbing like mad.

A month ago when I first started using this addon, I did not have any trouble with dropped frames and could use 5000Kbps without any trouble.

Your addon has updated a few times, and the vbox also received a software update - and I'm trying to troubleshoot / discover the root cause of my problem.

Any help at pointing me in the right direction?

RE: NHL TV™ - jerrbearfehr - 2016-12-15

Finally something that works for Rogers!! Streams are mint and I couldn't be happier!!

RE: NHL TV™ - jerrbearfehr - 2016-12-15

Do you think it's possible to do picture in picture with games? I'd love to have my TV split between 2 games. Hockeyholic here lol

RE: NHL TV™ - MarekOTT - 2016-12-16

Hi..

I have meny problems with internet connection. My internet It is not stable, and i often must go to settings connection to change quality video. Could You add settings connection before start the game ? I will by very heppy about that.

And second, meny times I watch game from place where not is internet. Maybe You can add downloading full game to the file ? (uncompressed of course)

Thank you for your attention... Your add-on is the best Smile

Can someone tell me if NHL.TV works with Kodi 17? My Linux distribution, Debian Testing, has updated my Kodi version from Jarvis 16 to Krypton and NHL.TV no longer works. I just get a "NHL.TV error check the log for more information". I look at the log and can't understand it. I have a link. Here it is: https://goo.gl/CZw1Au. If someone can help

Sincerely,
Dennis

Sorry.. I didn't view the log, but I can confirm that I am using Kodi 17 Beta 6 on the Nvidia Shield without major issues.

RE: NHL TV™ - rdwenrich - 2016-12-19

Thank you for your reply. I just found out my log link isn't working but I found there is a short url so I edited my post with that and it seems to work. (https://goo.gl/CZw1Au ) Anyway, I am using Kodi 17 Beta 5 according to my log. I'm not sure if that is the reason mine does not work since you are using Beta 6 and I don't know what Nvidia Shield is. Thanks anyway.

RE: NHL TV™ - rdwenrich - 2016-12-20

This is what I had to do to get NHL.TV working on my Linux Debian Stretch laptop after my Kodi version 16 Jarvis was upgraded to Kodi 17 Beta 5 Krypton. In the terminal as administrator run "easy_install html5lib==1.0b8". NHL.TV now works. Smile

Thank you for sharing that MetalChris. Can you explain how this will allow me to get this repo to 'install from zip' on my MacBook? I downloaded the latest plugin.zip from your link (11.11.2016) and it too doesn't show up when i try to locate it in Kodi (same issue i've been having). Here's what i am doing:

Downloading Eracks's repo zip > opening Kodi > File Manager > Add source from zip > going to the file location where Erack's repo is saved > Nothing shows up.

I'm thinking it's a Mac thing but i am not familiar enough with this OS to even know where to begin troubleshooting.

You can't install a zip file from file manager.
