TV 4K screen resolution - RaHa - 2015-10-25

I use KODI on a Philips Android TV. The screen resolution under system info is 1920 x 1080. Why not 4096 × 2160?
Pictures greater then 1920 x 1080 jitter! Pictures displayed with EZ FileExplorer on this TV are without a tremor.

How to play the pictures without a tremor?

RE: TV 4K screen resolution - Martijn - 2015-10-25

because the hardware in the Philips TV is too worthless to handle 4K user-interface displaying (as most android devices are). It's simply not fast enough to handle it while it should be perfectly capable for video playback.

You might wanna try out the latest nightly builds which should improve video playback

FYI the Android TV interface itself is also only showed in 1080p instead of 4K. On the 1080p models the interface is only 720p.
