Yes, with the free account you have to re-sign every 3 months instead of every year for the paid membership
As long as the app is not deleted from the device you shouldn't lose any data though
So every 3 months we have to do a re install of the Kodi onto the ATV or it wont work?
Is that 3 months from the last file you updated? Eg if I update to the latest version in a months time I've only signed the file then so will it be 3 months from then?

I’m trying to install Kodi on an Apple TV4 (tvOS) and have used this good video as a guide:

Although I can get and see the Kodi app on to ATV when I select it launches - I see the Kodi welcome screen for a millisecond and then just a blank white screen - that’s it.
I have the latest iOS App signer and .deb file ( which are great) - I have double and triple checked that I'm using the right profile in iOS app signer and the correct unique bundle identifier- I'm stumped! I can't figure out the issue. So any other ideas would be really really appreciated.

I would completely delete anything with kodi that you have done and start completely over. Try using the guide I have linked in my signature

Many thanks for your suggestion - I did exactly as you mentioned. However I'm still having the same problem! Kodi installs then when I go to launch it it displays the Kodi logo for a split second then blank screen!!!! It's very frustrating as I have been trying for over a week now. If you or anyone else have any other ideas? thanks

Try going into Xcode and deleting your Apple ID from settings, then go into keychain access and delete any iPhone developer certificates... Then when you add your account back into Xcode it will give you the option to reset your developer certificate.
Also, try deleting any existing provisioning profiles from ~/Library/MobileDevice/Provisioning Profiles
It's a hidden folder so you'll have to use Command+Shift+G and then you can paste that path into the dialog
The log from the app signer would also be helpful (View > Applicafion Log)

First off, could you send me the ipa file that my program ended up generating so that I can try and figure out what went wrong? The long doesn't seem to give any indication that there should be anything...
And it appears your using a paid developer account?
If that's the case try getting an adhoc provisioning profile for a specific app id (not a wildcard) or (and I know this is inconvenient) try making a free apple developer account and using that
Also, there are newer tvOS builds available than 20151230

Okay so here's the deal... every file that should be signed has the proper entitlements embedded in it but none of them have a signing certificate...
Here's an extra-verbose build of the App Signer that you can try (it won't work any differently but the logs may be more helpful)
Another thing, if you make a hello world tvOS project in Xcode will that deploy properly?
If not here's a few things you can try
- Make sure your system time and time zone are correct (you never know...)
- Create a new OS X user and try to sign it in there
- Make sure that none of the Apple Developer CAs are missing from the system keychain
- And if none of those work... try a fresh install of os x (if even just on another partition of your hard drive)
The app signer itself is working, but there is something wrong with the certificates on your system it seems...

It's 3 months from the date the profile was last updated (I'm not sure if Xcode does this automatically or not)
You can check the expiration date by going into Xcode, Preferences, Accounts, View Details and there will be a list with all of your profiles and expiration dates
In some cases there may actually also be an update button available which downloads the newest profile

Hi, I'm very new to all this but, thanks to the help and support I found here, I managed to install kodi on 2 ATV 4s and an iPad, plus my preferred add on. Each was working well initially but, when I went back to the first 2 devices, kodi was blank (although the icon was still there). It is still working well on the iPad so I'm wondering, is it only possible to install and use kodi on one device at a time with this method? I suspect that that's not the case, ie that kodi can go on numerous ios and tvos devices and that I've gone wrong somewhere in the process. Any advice would be very much appreciated.

When you say kodi was blank, do you mean the settings were gone? or was the icon missing?
And, did you click run in Xcode after you made the blank project? (don't do that)
Yes, you can very much have kodi on multiple devices with the same provisioning profile (I have it on my iPhone and iPad)

Hi, thanks very much for replying. The kodi icon is still on each ATV but, when I click on it, I get only a blank white screen. I don't recall clicking on run in Xcode. (Perhaps I should delete and reinstall on each ATV from scratch?).
