platanito21 Wrote:First off, i want to thank everyone who's worked on this skin. Its pretty much the only skin I use. My only grip is that the icons don't look very smooth or sharp on my tv (since the skin seems to be designed for 720p TVs instead of 1080p ones). I'm sure this will be resolved in the future though. I'm a total noob at this skinning thing so pardon if this sounds like a stupid question but is there a way to just change the background in the library when its in Coverflow view? That is the only thing I'd like to edit. I'm on a mac so I don't know how I would edit the textures.xpr if need be but is that what I would have to edit? Does anyone know if its even possible to just change the background of one view without affecting all the others? Any help or suggestion is greatly appreciate. Thanks guys

I'm not good at the skinning but checkout http://wiki.xbmc.org/?title=Skinning_XBMC
Conditional visability might help with the background bit.

The skinning engine reads both from textures.xpr and anything laying in the media folder, so you can have ie foo.png and call that without changing anything in textures.xpr.

Thanks Jezz. I am using rapidsvn and I just assumed that when I added and committed the folder the files inside would go with it.

God I wish I could install tortoise svn on her crappy computer.

First off, thanks for this skin. I think it's the cleanest avaiable. Two question tho:
1. Can I edit movie description length anyware, or it's box height? It always seem to go over the line under it.

2. The Position indicator when playing a movie is extremely blurry for some reason. Can I fix this?

Great skin! - cooper - 2008-04-17

Is there any way to enlarge the actor photos?

Still having a problem with missing text. - Jeffrey Ropp - 2008-04-17

I've tried a few of the solution found in the thread as well as updating xTV (from Chief's sig) and XBMC from the latest svn.

Any thoughts on what is wrong? Should I re-install XBMC rather than upgrade via script (perhaps "bad" settings are retained that way)?

Thanks for the help in advance!
Jeff

Does xTV also support the cool "Fan Art" feature?

No, not yet.

By the way, do you have a reason why you had that weird function to get to the settings of view? You need to go to the most left item of the screen and then press left again, same for the right side. It's a bit different from all the other skins. Maybe you can reconsider it? Or make another function to go to the list view-settings?

Chief,

I think the latest builds of XBMC have broken your xTV skin.
Specifically, when watching a video the player menus don't display correctly.
Actually, they barely display at all. In video and audio one's you only get the first line.

Log here;

Using a build from April 5th it's all fine but using a build from today ( April 18 ) it's all stuffed up.

I have used both a self built from SVN version of xTV and the one from your sig.
