Have you tried Silicon Dust's own HDHR-View add-on? Many don't like the "guide" style/layout, but try it just to see if you're getting guide data for those channels using SD's own client first. If not, I'd reach out to them via their support forums for assistance.

Any plans to add DVR functionality? Silicondust has an API for their new DVR: https://github.com/Silicondust/documentation/wiki/DVR%20Recording%20Rules

RE: HDHomeRun PVR native addon - asdf1nit - 2016-03-06

The ability to get guide data from an XMLTV file would be awesome. I have a hdhrprime but no cable card so I only get Clear QAM stations with no guide data. Currently I use ServerWMC and get my guide data from WMC but I also have mc2xml for xml guide.

RE: HDHomeRun PVR native addon - Wagg - 2016-03-08

Any chance of a Krypton build? Fooling around with it on my Braswell setup.

RE: HDHomeRun PVR native addon - jmcguire525 - 2016-03-08

Are you taking donations? None of my cable channels are protected so I would be happy to donate toward DVR and time shifting integration.

RE: HDHomeRun PVR native addon - hunkyn - 2016-03-10

Could not see if this supports all HDhomerun devices or specific ones? I have a HDHR3-CC HDHomeRun PRIME does this addon work with this device?

RE: HDHomeRun PVR native addon - ironmanspcasa - 2016-03-14

does this plugin support hdhr3-eu model?

RE: HDHomeRun PVR native addon - mwaterbu - 2016-04-03

This is great! Only problem I have had is that it won't find my hdhomerun that is on another subnet. World be nice to be able to specify an IP address.
Anyone know of another workaround, other than changing my network setup?

RE: HDHomeRun PVR native addon - quinnja2 - 2016-04-17

Could this work with hdhr prime?

The problem is that most of my channels are shown with just the channel number as the channel name. So I used the nice channel editor program from here (http://forum.kodi.tv/showthread.php?tid=245830) to conveniently edit the Kodi channel names. But even after doing an 'adb push' of the edited TV29.db file, it is overwritten each time. Can you provide an option not to fetch the channel list each time, so that the TV29.db is not overwritten each time?

On an unrelated note, it would also be nice if the channel numbers would be assigned their proper channel number and not just assigned sequentially starting from 1.

Would like to know the answer to this as well, running into the same problem.

You have to disable every other channel in the Channel Manager (Settings - TV) currently. @zcsizmadia has not implemented the ability to use more than a single tuner for a particular channel (which is why you have dups for each tuner box).

Alternatively you can go to the firmware of the tuner and turn off the channels there. Either way - only one tuner per channel ATM.

Subject: Re:HDHR-PRIME: Channel Lineup Disabling and HDHR-DVR

Hi,

Go to my.hdhomerun.com, click on the channel link or the Device ID->Channel lineup. Each channel will have a star next to it. Clicking the star once will flag the channel as a favorite, clicking it twice will blacklist the channel. It will not appear in channel lists and will not record from that channel.

Customer mostly use it to block out ethnic and SD channels.

Hope that helps.

Silicondust Support

Using "my.hdhomerun.com", via a browser while on your local LAN segment containing your HDHR boxes, will auto discover all of your HDHR units. It will list them, nicely, at the top of the web page with all their ID info. All you need do is click on the unit link and the channel line-up is presented for editing.

BUT, any disabled channels will not be seen by the HDHR-DVR installed on your NAS. So, they cannot be used for recording programming! I have 3 HDHR Prime units. I got all the channel listing in triplicate. So, I disabled a set of channels I don't use from all 3 of my HDHR units. I left the channels I normally watch and record. I, then, deleted 2 of the 3 entries presented to me for the same channel in the channel manager.

This was the safest way to pair-down the channel line-up of Live TV.

BUT, some of the channels are out-of-sequence. Is there a file I can edit to re-order the channels? Is that file the TV29.db file? If so, where is it normally located in a Win10 installation of Kodi Jarvis release?

Thanks!

The answer to my own question:

http://kodi.wiki/view/Userdata

This Kodi WIKI page contains preliminary info on the various databases (Live TV, movies, pictures, etc. used in Kodi, as well as the database file location, for each supported platform. Please be aware of the difference between the systemdata and userdata directories!!! You don't want to trash your Kodi install while customizing...

Have fun!

1. Is there any kind of DVR support for this? It was asked earlier this year, but there was no reply.

2. Also, using HDHomeRun VIEW, the audio and video are synced up fine. When I watch TV on any channel in the Kodi plugin, the audio slowly creeps up ahead of the video. How do I stop that?

Looks like DVR is on the authors roadmap: https://github.com/kodi-pvr/pvr.hdhomerun/issues/7
