I tried using the kodi default backup/restore program addon but it doesnt restore anything at all. It shows me un-archiving the zip file, copying the data, but then nothing happens. I got a popup message asking if I wanted to restore backups from a previous version of kodi which I selected yes. Is there anything else I need to do?

I am using a raspberry pi2

Just drop the tar file into the Update folder and reboot.

Not really sure about the backup/restore program - do you have a debug log (wiki)?

Thank You for the fix detection of eof in passthrough mode.
..available in the next build? ;-)

I think it missed the cut for tonight's #0226 build, but should probably be in Saturdays build.

Edit: It will be in #0226 after all.

That would normally be my option - but I am using a new SD card and wanted to copy over the addons I had earlier - I figured since this is Kodi 17 if I have issues I can always go back to my vanilla openelec install. Thats why was looking at addons to use

I will try again and upload the debug log.

** edit ** - looking at the sd card via ssh, it seems all the addons/sources are copied in. Not sure why they dont show up though - my original data was **not** from a custom build or anything.. just a custom background wallpaper picture.

**edit 2** - addons are there it seems but they are all disabled. No shortcuts (the quick dropdown addons that you can select) show up however, and some other settings are off.. odd really.

fix detection of eof in passthrough mode works. DTSwaves in one folder plays all now.

What about system/video output/Delay after change of refresh rate?
(make sure settings level is on advanced or expert).

I had tried that before, but gave it another experiment today. It does indeed work but only when omxplayer acceleration is disabled (before I had both omx&mmal acceleration on so didn't notice or think to try different combinations).

Is that an expected behaviour & will there be any disadvantages to not having omx acceleration enabled?

omxplayer disabled is the default on Pi2 so it's not a problem.

RE: OpenELEC Testbuilds for RaspberryPi (Kodi 17.0) - beertank - 2016-02-29

From #0226 OpenELEC Settings/About no longer gives any information for Distribution, Version, Architecture.

RE: OpenELEC Testbuilds for RaspberryPi (Kodi 17.0) - Chudley - 2016-02-29

Since build 211, the PVR guide window takes a large amount of time to open, up to 30 seconds or so. Build 210 is fine if I revert, with usual wait of 2-3 seconds. No build since has shown any improvement either. This occurs on 2 individual RPi2. 1 core is at 100% usage whilst this is happening, and it does occasionally happen whilst the guide is displayed also, with everything freezing for a long time. I'm connected to another RPi2 running latest TVHeadend. Logs show nothing obvious as it looks like nothing is logged at all whilst kodi is frozen; although I can obtain if required. Has anyone else seen this?

I guess you might as well upload the debug log (wiki) from #0210 and #0211 - there might be something that gives a clue what the difference is.
