RE: fTV with full working and integrated LiveTV part - dacanba - 2016-06-05

Thanks for Ftv.

Is it possible to modify the order of search of display of the widgets? The problem is that they load in order, so if one doesnt load, the others dont load either. What I think that could help is for them to load at any order, so they dont depend on the loading of the previous one.

Regards from Chile.

Thank you for your nice work, this skin is now default for my kodi boxes!

One suggestion:
Could you please add a "finishes at" display/field for movie OSD? this is the only thing I am missing and prevents me from calculating the wrong "go to bed" time Wink

Edit:
And another one, regarding music:
- It would be very nice to see the rating of songs in lists, represented by 5 stars, or dots, or whatever.
- In music playback OSD, I find it confusing to see this presentation of current playing song:
<ALBUM>
<Artist> - <Songname>

I think it is more convenient like this:
<Songname>
<Artist> - <Album>

This is more like MTV and VIVA teached us Wink

And last but not least, I would like to see the next song in queue, like:
<Songname>
<Artist> - <Album>
Next: <Artist> - <Song>

Would be awesome Smile

(2016-04-20, 23:19)optics Wrote: I have created a widget group for internet radio stations...

In the main menu, selecting the Radio menu item displays each of the widgets in the group. But each station icon is shown twice on the main menu (e.g. two BBC Radio 1 icons). After selecting a particular widget (e.g. BBC), then the FTV skin properly shows one icon per station.

Could we have a progress indicator for internet streams while they are loading. Even an indeterminate progress icon would at least acknowledge the keypress.

Two updates:

I found a workaround that avoids the duplicate icons. In short, create a single widget for a single favourite for all radio stations. You can still categorize by nested folder. Create a folder.jpg for a folder/category icon.

Re the progress indicator/spinner... this appears on AAC streams but not MP3 streams. So it's either audio codec or stream metadata dependent.

Hey sualfred sorry i have to bother again with a little issue i encountered.
In my Music section i used the shortcut to recently-played-albums and on the front the list displays like i set it up in square but as soon as i get into the menu they show up as wide images. could this be a skinshortcut issue or what am i missing here?
Otherwise, as always, thanx for yours and hitchers great work which makes the use of kodi on a fireTV so seemless!

Krypton or Jarvis? Cannot reproduce it here.

Try to delete your viewmode.db (userdata/Database/ViewModes.db). This is the database where all your configured viewtypes are stored for each section. Rename it to viewmode.backup in case it won't solve the problem.

This skin is awesome looking and easy to use, BUT the loading time of widgets is just numbing. Is there any tricks to speeding up the loading time?? Ive tried cutting down to just 3 widgets per menu item but still so slow. Even running on i7 pc w 16gb ram. Also after going into addons and coming back to the home screen have to wait again. Wonder how Amazon has it so optimized to run their version fast even on a firestick. Maybe somebody could take a look at my build and tell me how i could increase performance? Thanks!

Hey, I've been using this skin for 3 days and i just realize something. Every time widget reload, the files in home menu is updated. But when i click right, the files in the widget are remain the same as the first time i made it as widget. I don't know if this problem was already solved by someone. I'd appreciate any answers.

Oh yeah, btw, i think all my addon widgets have this problem.

RE: fTV Fred Edition - with full working and integrated LiveTV part - sualfred - 2016-07-04

That's a Kodi caching related issue. IIRC there was a PR for Krypton to get rid of this caching, but I'm not sure. There's nothing I can do, sorry.

RE: fTV Fred Edition - with full working and integrated LiveTV part - d_sinca - 2016-07-04

That is unfortunate. But overall i really like this skin. Although if i can make one suggestion, in subtitle menu in osd, i think it'd be better if there is subtitle offset options.

RE: fTV Fred Edition - with full working and integrated LiveTV part - sualfred - 2016-07-04

That list ist filled by Kodi. Not skin related again Wink

Edit:
I'm wrong. There is a way. Will take care of it.

Hey Sualfred,

one question is there actual a "Info-Layer" for video-input with better quality as HD 1080p?

Maybe for 4K/Ultra HD Videos?
