Kodi on thee mobile network - dereklad - 2016-01-05 Hello ive recently installed kodi on my iphone 6 and my apple tv4 using the forum guide and they work great in my house on wifi.. When im at work on my iphone 6 on 3g/4g network my kodi dont work..i take it kodi only works on wifi or can it be used on mobile network s also.. RE: Kodi on thee mobile network - Saner - 2016-01-05 It should work, I can't see why it wouldn't, unless three are actively blocking an 'addons' domain. Logs are going to help http://kodi.wiki/view/Log_file RE: Kodi on thee mobile network - keith - 2016-01-05 Three has content blocking: http://support.three.co.uk/SRVS/CGI-BIN/WEBISAPI.DLL?Command=New,Kb=Mobile,Ts=Mobile,T=Article,varset_cat=internetapps,varset_subcat=3582,Case=obj(3598) Include a log for us to verify, but keep in mind if it's using a http://kodi.wiki/view/Official:Forum_rules/Banned_add-ons we cannot help you. RE: Kodi on thee mobile network - dereklad - 2016-01-05 Well all ive gotta say is all 10 of my addons dont work as if kodi itself is unable to operate on my mobile network.. RE: Kodi on thee mobile network - DarrenHill - 2016-01-05 Which add-ons are we talking about here? Also as @Saner suggested, a debug log (wiki) should make things clearer. RE: Kodi on thee mobile network - keith - 2016-01-06 Deleted the last post. No talking about banned_addons (wiki). Ive just tried kodi again on my mobile network and tried opening some addons they all errored and failed..at the end of my test i switch to wifi to upload my log.. http://xbmclogs.com/pttjosdrp A strange thing on my iphone is ,when i close kodi app and try to use my safari i get a message warning me that im trying to use my phone as a personal hotspot(teathering) and thats not in my price plan..i have to reset phone to back to usual network function.. Thanks for your time.. RE: Kodi on thee mobile network - Ned Scott - 2016-01-07 Looks like they're injecting web pages into the HTTP requests that Kodi makes, as a way to give you a "notice". Code: <h1>Are you using your phone as a Personal Hotspot?</h1> They've incorrectly detected "teathering" even though you are only using your phone. I suggest you yell at them, especially about injecting HTML like that. ISPs like this are the worst. RE: Kodi on thee mobile network - dereklad - 2016-01-07 Ok thanks ned.. Thats me screwed then unless i buy a £10 teathering bolt on... RE: Kodi on thee mobile network - keith - 2016-01-07 He's on the wrong APN, IIRC. Three is like that because they charge 20 pounds for unlimited data, so they need to restrict it in some manner. |
