Xtreamer Whizz - schweppy - 2016-02-18 Can't seem to find any other threads on this but the specs appear to be excellent and tick all the boxes! Android TV and Openelec Quad-core 64 bit Amlogic S905-H Penta Core Mali-450 GPU 2GB DDR3 16GB eMMC 802.11 AC HDMI 2.0 No mention of HD Audio or HDCP2.2 Anyone know much about it as i think i'll order one to kill the anticipation of waiting for the Core to come back in stock...! http://www.xtreamer.net/Whizz/ RE: Xtreamer Whizz - Latinbull - 2016-02-18 I would stay away from xtreamer products, and btw they are not listed st Google Android TV site which make me almost 100% sure that none of stated things and features like netflix 4k etc is working For this money better buy minix u1 or wait for wetek core and you are sure that you will get always firmware supportef with bug fixes RE: Xtreamer Whizz - wrxtasy - 2016-02-18 Nothing found here for HDCP either, so no DRM. http://www.digital-cp.com/licensee-list?title=xtreamer&title_2%5B%5D=5&items_per_page=50 A nVIDIA Shield is the only safe choice for 10-bit decode / 4K / 1080p HEVC with stable working Firmware at this point in time. Device not listed either in Dolby Customer Portal, so no Dolby licence, contrary to what is being advertised. Big on promotions; falling short on delivering on promises. Rude forum; users banned for raising legitimate issues. Unless they've radically changed of late, Xtreamer is trouble. RE: Xtreamer Whizz - xtreamer - 2016-02-20 LatinBull & hdmkv : both are welcome to try our latest device ...and come back with an apology. unless you insist on Chinese products who have no forum, no active community and sporadic updates. The Wonder family was probably one of the best android TV boxes in the past 2 years. The Whizz we cut down the price and made it even better. RE: Xtreamer Whizz - nickr - 2016-02-20 Xtreamer, please change your username to comply with rule 1. http://kodi.wiki/view/Official:Forum_rules#Registration RE: Xtreamer Whizz - nickr - 2016-02-20 oh and please pm me for my shipping address so I can review your product as you so helpfully offer. RE: Xtreamer Whizz - wrxtasy - 2016-02-20 @xtreamer, Confirming you have an actual Licence from Google to distribute the Google Apps Store ? RE: Xtreamer Whizz - Ned Scott - 2016-02-20 It is nice to see someone advertise a vanilla copy of Kodi, rather than "fully loaded". Thank you very much for that. Jep though i suspect it's still a custom compiled one with some AMLogic patches (minix has that as well). Still hell of a lot better than preloading junk on it. Also really wonder if it's actually AndroidTV because the comparison says the minix-u1 uses it but it certainly does not. RE: Xtreamer Whizz - Tinwarble - 2016-02-20 The pics from the link show Android TV. Not sure about that name though, sounds like something I'd do after way too many beers. RE: Xtreamer Whizz - Latinbull - 2016-02-20 Does this box support netflix hd and/or 4k? RE: Xtreamer Whizz - hdmkv - 2016-02-20 @xtreamer, thanks, apology does mean something, goes a ways to come clean from past. Agree it's nice to see you guys separate yourselves from "fully loaded", race-to-the-bottom crowd. RE: Xtreamer Whizz - MiniPCDB - 2016-02-23 The device looks promising hardware-wise and might make an excellent Kodi-machine (does also boot in OpenElec) http://www.minipcdb.com/articles/Meet-Xtreamer-Whizz it's the first I've seen to feature a Kodi logo right on front - maybe there's some sort of sponsorship/endorsement deal with TeamKodi? in the marketing material they mention one of Kodi's Diamond Sponsors (Minix) RE: Xtreamer Whizz - wrxtasy - 2016-02-23 (2016-02-20, 12:14)Martijn Wrote:I know they advertise as "Clean" but....(2016-02-20, 12:10)Ned Scott Wrote: It is nice to see someone advertise a vanilla copy of Kodi, rather than "fully loaded". Erm... this is from one of their other products, (17 DEC 2015) http://forum.xtreamer.net/page/index.html/_/latest-firmware-announcements/xtreamer-wonder-lollipop-update-r545 Quote:Kodi Features Simply put this is not good enough for us to take the Xtreamer company seriously, especially when Kodi, currently has a major push underway to STOP this facilitation of Piracy content. They cannot advertise as "Clean" and then do something else entirely when you do a Firmware update on one of their products after purchase. |
