I second this request. Is there not a way to link the Recently added items to show or hide with the option Hide Watched
Reasons for this is if another family member watches an episode, and then I go to check whats new, it has disappeared from the list.
(also if I've fallen asleep and come back next day to re-watch, it's gone.)

I strongly agree with this. If many people use the same Kodi installation at different times then the recently added items get unnecessarily hidden when someone has watched a new episode alone.
Can't you use the recently added nodes for this use case? Imo the widgets should show media that is of interest, e.g. stuff that hasn't been watched yet. Also, if a lot of people use the same installation, you might want to consider using profiles.
Adding an option for it seems overkill to me, but maybe the Estuary creators think differently. You can edit the smart playlists btw if you really want to hide watched items. They are in the playlist folder of the skin.

Ok. I found a way to make the recently added widgets work like they used to.

Open skin.estuary/playlists/ and find files
recent_unwatched_episodes.xsp
recent_unwatched_movies.xsp

In those files remove this tag:
Code:
<rule field="playcount" operator="lessthan">
        <value>1</value>
</rule>

Reload the skin and voila.

phil65, thanks for the Estuary Next Gen. It looks much better now.

I especially like:

1. Improved main menu
2. hugely improved list view for local videos, the whole space is now occupied
3. narrow scrollbars
4. widelist view
5. fanart view
6. poster view looks great!
7. i like posters size in wall view
8. "favourites" in the main menu!

Pressing the right arrow key it defaults to Categories: My add-ons instead of defaulting to the actual Video add-on installed, as it was with Estuary V1.
IMO this introduced unnecessary key strokes for anyone using add-ons regularly. Can this default back to point to the first of the actual video add-on? Thanks.

Agree with this user and jmerrilljr. It should not be the primary after selecting. This is true when first navigating to video, etc as well. Behaviorof pictures is fine as there are no categories.

Love the v2, Wall and InfoWall look great again.

One thing, it seems to me like everything is too big on the front page, like the posters are too big, the icons for the nodes are too big, etc. Other than that, love the new update.

Wow, I have just tried the new version and it has really improved a lot.

I really like it. You cannot please everybody but you have definitely pleased me Smile

Rolled my milhouse build back to 1122 to return to GUI V1, unfortunately isn't to my liking and will run an out of date build instead .. can we have both versions or at least option to scale icons Huh

If you want to keep the v1 GUI you'll need to move to the mod version, see http://forum.kodi.tv/showthread.php?tid=267343

I did install this but was unusable taking about 5-10 seconds to enter Movies, when V1 is instant Sad Hence only option to roll back to older build.

Edit
Got the classic version off GitHub and installed all happy again Smile

In v2 I really love the ability to customize Categories in Music and Video menus. This made me come back to Estuary from the very customizable but very laggy Estuary Mod... But it's true, at now icons and posters on main pages are too big, they seems the ones from my 5 years old child tablet... However I follow every day Phil65 on Github, I notice he's still working in optimization of this skin: I really appreciate his efforts.

If people feel strongly about it, they could fork Estuary v1. I kinda expected that to happen, honestly-- v2 is pretty different. I strongly prefer it myself, but YMMV.
