Ubuntu 15.10 and Kodi 16 and tvheadend - duncang92 - 2016-03-08
I'm running Ubuntu 15.10 32 bit version on my kitchen pc with kodi 16. I want to watch live tv on the kitchen pc ..... cooking time .......
Tvheadend is running on my htpc in my lounge with the tv-in card.
I can setup and connect to the htpc with tvheadend on my android tablet running kodi 16.
The kitchen PC doesn't have live TV enabled and when I try it tells me I need to install a PVR. As expected.
I've tried a couple of different methods to install tvheadend onto the kitchen pc.
One method let me enable LIVE TV and I could see it on the main KODI menu but no channels showed up. Looking at the tvheadend backend showed that the kitchen pc had connected. I installed the package pvr-hts.
The second method I couldn't get tvheadend to install. I followed https://tvheadend.org/projects/tvheadend/wiki/AptRepository but says can't locate tvheadend package when I try "sudo apt-get install tvheadend".
Any pointers would be appreciated.
