EDIT 2:
I just deleted the browser cache.. now I can insert the credentials, but when I click on "log in" the same error occurs (This page isn't working - ERR_CONNECTION_REFUSED)
Any suggestion?

I have this as well on Raspberry Pi with LibreElec. The time is exactly 2min41sec when it stops.
Have been excellent, but now unusable.

Hi Everyone,
I'm new to this all.
Ended up installed kodi and spotify plugin succesffully on my laptop which has windows 10.
-I just really wanted to have the visualizer on spotify, because it is the one thing I really miss from different music software.
Nonetheless I wanted to do the same thing on my xbox one.
Installed kodi on it, platform kodi 18.8.
-Check system info and its says xbox has windows 10 installed (prob a limited functionality version)
Downloaded the repository and installed the app. Now it gets stuck in verification.
It now says "the default browser should no be opened, follow the directions to authorize this app on Spotify" and gets stuck.
Xbox has edge but its not going to that. Which browser is it talking about, a popup for loggin in?
Is there a work around for this? Or is it a lost cause?
Tried:
1. getting the appdata from windows 10 laptop, put it in a zip, and installed spotify plugin from it.
2. Pre-Entered spotify credentials
Any help would be appreciated.

Amazing. Now it works. Don't know if it matters, but all I did, was to change playback device to "spotify connect",
tried to play a song, did not play, then changed playback device back to local, and now it just works.

Trying to get the Spotify addon working here, logged into it and can browse media on the Spotify account but playing a track isn't working.
Rasp Pi 4
Rasbian GNU/Linux 10 (Buster) (kernel: Linux 5.4.51-v71+)
Kodi 18.7 Git:20200528-2c5354e70a
Spotify addon 1.1.58
I've unchecked "enable this device as a spotify connect target" in the addon settings with no change.

The Spotify app is working, can browse and go through my playlists, but when i play a track its not playing.
Microsoft surf.

A heads-up, ive solved the problem above, but im encountering another problem now.
When i select a song, its playing. however, it only shows its playing. I actually doesnt have any sound. Also the kodi sounds seems to dissapear then.
After the song, the kodi sound gets back. I hope anyone could help me

If you enable spotify connect on addon settings and open spotify on other device, kind of work. But still with many problems.
Does the github version differ from marcel repository? Seems newer.
