RE: Spotify for Kodi - pepper_chico - 2016-07-18 Hi marcelveldt, thanks for the addon. Sadly it seems I'll have to go back to Spotimc. I'm on Kodi 15.2 over OpenELEC 6.0.3 (Linux 3.14.36), I've used the trick of copying the cache file from my notebook to OpenELEC after authorization, I can browse everything from my library, but I can't play anything, I'm hitting the same issue that has shown up in the thread some times already. Log file shows errors like: - ERROR: Init: Error opening file http://127.0.0.1:8090/track/[...] - ERROR: Init: Error opening file http://127.0.0.1:8090/track/[...] - WARNING: PAPlayer::QueueNextFileEx - Failed to create the decoder - ERROR: Init: Error opening file http://127.0.0.1:8090/track/[...] Any suggestions? RE: Spotify for Kodi - pepper_chico - 2016-07-18 Besides this error there's another issue which is when loading the library it's a bit slow at first. RE: Spotify for Kodi - pepper_chico - 2016-07-18 Wow, it worked after I have reboot my system! Only issue left is the slow start when loading album/artist library and opening albums. I think it's a bit related to the fact that I don't have a very high speed connection. Another thing I'd like to suggest is to remember presentation mode, I'd like to stick with icon display but it keeps changing back from icons to the list default. Many thanks! And yest I did use the workaround to login to my Pi 2 OSMC. Mate, mind looking into this? RE: Spotify for Kodi - pepper_chico - 2016-07-19 I'd also like to request for not displaying a pop up when getting the next music. Where's the GitHub repository? I'd like to put any such feature requests and issues there. My only 3 issues are these, the plugin is slow on library loading, it doesn't remember presentation style and it displays popups on switching to next music which isn't presentation pretty. Besides that, I'm really enjoying. I'm running it on a Cubox-I. RE: Spotify for Kodi - mujunk - 2016-07-21 Could you do something similar for http://www.saavn.com/ as well. I assume it works very similar to spotify. RE: Spotify for Kodi - coifox - 2016-07-22 Great if the bugs can be worked out. I am using Mac OSX 10.11.6 Kodi 16.1 Getting error "Login error: 'ascii' codec can't decode byte 0xf3 in position 0: ordinal not in range(128) I had gotten to the point it opened Chrome and asked me to log in, and click the link to allow the API to the Kodi addon. It then crashes Kodi. Hope this helps. RE: Spotify for Kodi - jimirocks - 2016-07-25 Hello, just installed spotify addon on Kodi at OSMC at RPI3, followed the workaround described here, but still not able to even list the music, here is the relevant part of log Code: 20:44:24 512.389709 T:1540355056 NOTICE: Spotify --> Your platform (armv7 System.Platform.Linux) RE: Spotify for Kodi - jimirocks - 2016-07-25 well my bad, my RPI3 box had badly configured primary DNS and it seems the plugin didn't try to use the secondary one. I'm seeing something similar. It takes approximately 10 seconds to "connect" when I first run the addon. After that everything seems to be running like it should. Thanks for a great add-on, marcelveldt! Keep up the good work! RE: Spotify for Kodi - loggio - 2016-07-29 ok... There is a major problem and i'm not sure if it's the Spotify Addon or Kodi itself. If I do a fresh install of Kodi, using latest nightlies and then install Spotify and play music everything works fine... Then if I install a skin, example: Eminence 2.0 Then try to load Spotify and play a song Kodi will hang and the Spotify addon will no longer play songs, not even if I switch back to Estuary. The only way to get Spotify to work again is to completely delete the Addons26.db file and re-enable the Spotify addon. But as soon as I enable any other addon, Spotify will break again. This is happening on Windows nightlies and also Libreelec on the RPi .... Hope this can be fixed, it seems to have broken since the last Spotify Addon update from Marcelveldt. I haven't been able to use this addon for weeks since it was last updated. playing music using the option "play using... VideoPlayer" works, but it's incredibly slow to load. It seems something is breaking playback using default PAPlayer RE: Spotify for Kodi - schumi2004 - 2016-07-30 I think i got a similiar issue here, addon won't play any songs at all. When i check logs it keeps saying this: 00:15:26 T:376 ERROR: XFILE::CDirectory::GetDirectory - Error getting plugin://plugin.audio.spotify/?action=browse_main_library 00:15:26 T:376 ERROR: CGUIMediaWindow::GetDirectory(plugin://plugin.audio.spotify/?action=browse_main_library) failed 00:15:55 T:376 ERROR: CCurlFile::Stat - Failed: Couldn't connect to server(7) for http: 00:16:05 T:376 ERROR: CCurlFile::FillBuffer - Failed: Timeout was reached(28) 00:16:05 T:376 ERROR: CCurlFile::Open failed with code 0 for http:// 00:16:05 T:376 ERROR: XFILE::CFileCache::Open - failed to open source <http 00:16:05 T:376 ERROR: VideoPlayerCodec::Init: Error opening file http: 00:16:15 T:376 ERROR: CCurlFile::FillBuffer - Failed: Couldn't connect to server(7) 00:16:15 T:376 ERROR: CCurlFile::Open failed with code 0 for http:// 00:16:15 T:376 ERROR: XFILE::CFileCache::Open - failed to open source <http:// 00:16:15 T:376 ERROR: VideoPlayerCodec::Init: Error opening file http 00:16:15 T:376 ERROR: CAudioDecoder: Unable to Init Codec while loading file http: 00:16:15 T:376 WARNING: PAPlayer::QueueNextFileEx - Failed to create the decoder 00:16:15 T:376 ERROR: Playlist Player: skipping unplayable item: 0, path [plugin://plugin.audio.spotify/?action=play_track&trackid=22ZcLeaye66LSNidC7DSPc] RE: Spotify for Kodi - Miss_80 - 2016-08-02 I've referred to this issue a while back but didn't go forward with it for some reason. recently started playing around with addon again and there is (still) a mismatch between what the addon in Kodi shows and what the spotify app on my PC (same PC as where Kodi is installed on) says. When using spotify in Kodi and I go to 'Song'.. .al is well. bout 186 songs When using spotify in Kodi and I go to 'Artist'.. . only 4 is shown When using the application Spotify in Windows, it shows a hell of a lot more So what am I missing here? probably something simple, but I can't figure it out RE: Spotify for Kodi - greenflash - 2016-08-02 (2016-04-05, 12:13)Jönke Wrote: Do a install on your computer and then a install in rpi , copy user files from pc to rpi , reboot - done! Forget about the question below, my next post explains how to do it to make it work in the RPI/Openelec based on kind instructions provided here. Hi Jonke! Can you give more detail on which files and folders you copied from? I tried to copy from C:\Users\WINDOWS_USER\AppData\Local\Spotify\Users\[SPOTIFY-NICK]-user and the files were: abba.json metadata_cache.bnk offline2 offline_ep offline_lists.bnk I put them in: ~/.kodi/userdata/addon_data/plugin.audio.spotify Am I doing something wrong? I get the "working" message and there it gets stuck forever (already rebooted) Thanks! RE: Spotify for Kodi - greenflash - 2016-08-02 *** WORKING Spotify AddOn in RPI3 via Openelec!!! *** Fool me, I was using *Windows* Spotify client as source.. To clarify for newbies like me, the method would be: 1) Install the Spotify add on in Openelec in the RPI3 2) Configure it, run it. Error. Quit. 3) In a Windows machine (my case) install Kodi. 4) In that installation, install the Spotify add on. Configure it. Run it. 5) You'll get a browser prompt, login and accept. 6) Now, in Windows, from C:\Users\[Windowslogin]\AppData\Roaming\Kodi\userdata\addon_data\plugin.audio.spotify copy your [spotifynick].cache file. 7) Put that file in the RPI3´s ~/.kodi/userdata/addon_data/plugin.audio.spotify 8) Reboot the RPI3 9) Restart Spotify in the RPI3's Openelec installation. Should work!! THANKS ALL specially to the developer of course. |
