If you set Kodi Refresh Rate to On Start/Stop it changes the resolution to the format of the file that you're playing, which is a good thing, you don't 3820X2160p file playing 1920X1080 I also notice that once you stop playing 3820X2160p your display driver will pop a notification on the (Samsung SUHD TV) bottom right of the screen.
