RE: Intel HTPC/NUC's w/reliable Kodi-native 3D MVC Playback - Korrigan - 2017-02-28

I have a strange problem with 23.976 / 24.00:
It is set up to Adjust display refresh rate on Start / Stop and usually my NUC (6CAYH) will play 23.976 perfectly (no skipped frames). If I play a 24.00 file it will switch to 24.00 and also play perfectly. But if I try to play a 23.976 file afterwards it seems to be stuck in 24.00 and will skip a frame every ~40 seconds as expected (because of the 0.024 frames difference).
It can only be fixed by switching to a refresh rate greater than 24.00 and back to 23.976. Then it will work flawlessly again... Is this a known bug or something with my system?

Looks like all the mvc_wip files have dissapeared from http://mirrors.kodi.tv/test-builds/win32/

Can anyone aknowledge or even clearify this?

All month-old files are deleted from the mirror

So where can we get the latest recommended file?

Updated post #1 w/links to my copies to tide us over until @afedchin's next build Smile.

Kodi 17.1 has a bug fix for cinemavision experience, so eagerly waiting for next mvc build Smile
Can i make a sugestion?
Once krypton finalizes... Can we keep that mvc build lasting, even if leia builds come... Make those 2 separate?
So one build that is stable containing krypton
Then new builds for leia... Until leia finalizes...

On that note, @afedchin, can you fill us in on what your plans are? I should probably update some of the points below in post #1. Thank you.

Quote:Important Points about MVC Windows Builds from its Developer:
  • MVC development is almost done. Only a couple of cosmetic things remain, which he will work on next
  • As it stands, there is no possibility to merge MVC into mainline as MVC feature requires a patched build of ffmpeg, which unfortunately is not acceptable for mainline
  • Given above, Kodi MVC Windows will remain as a fork (similar to SPMC or MrMC on Android/iOS)

Huh? What?

Are you talking about a bug for Cinema Vision or Cinema Experience? They are 2 different add-ons.

And what is this bug, exactly? I've heard nothing about it from the Cinema Visions guys.

Sorry 4 dumb questions:
1.Wich drivers are you suggesting to be used on a Dell Inspiron micro 3050 [windows 8.1]??
2.Using hdmi out I'm getting "hand shake" issues[I'm watcing 3d isos using this configurationBig Grinell 3050--Pioneer receiver--3d TV].So ,I'm thinking to use hdmi out 4 hi-res audio plugged in my receiver, and in the same time DP output plugged directly to my tv set[using a dp to hdmi adapter].
Question:do you think hdmi out and dp out can work simultaneously on my 3050?
I (mostly) don't believe any questions are dumb Wink
  1. Latest drivers, Windows 10 Home 64-bit... but, this was several months ago. My Dell 3050 is now on eBay... nothing wrong w/it; just didn't need it & my i3 NUC. Try older drivers if you're having issues w/whichever version you're using.
  2. Could be handshake issues are related to your driver issues. Re: HDMI and DP working simultaneously, sorry, don't know as I've never attempted it. Hoping someone in the know can respond about this.

Vision.
Krypton has a bug when launching vision from widgets.
17.1 fixed it

This means we will have to build our own 17.1 and future 18 mvc versions?

RE: Intel HTPC/NUC's w/reliable Kodi-native 3D MVC Playback - afedchin - 2017-03-01

mvc build will be available also with 17.x versions. for v18, I'm no sure.
