RE: YouTube Plug-in Thread - anxdpanic - 2017-02-26 Apologize for that, the error in the alpha1 was an error on my part. Should be good to go now, https://github.com/jdf76/plugin.video.youtube/releases/download/5.3.11-alpha/plugin.video.youtube-5.3.11.alpha2.zip RE: YouTube Plug-in Thread - pallisvans - 2017-02-27 (2017-02-26, 22:11)NoTanFightFan Wrote: I understand the YouTube app no longer allows for overriding the view. I find navigating the current app to be very frustrating, because there is no longer a description or username shown on any of the views allowed, however playback is wonderful. So, is there a theme I could switch to, or another app I could use in combination with this one, that would allow me to change the view for this app so that I can see a description and username again? The unofficial version was beginning to have playback issues with many videos, blocking them from playback, causing me to have no choice but to switch back to the official app. Any suggestions would be appreciated. I forked the newest version (5.3.10) and restored the old viewsettings. This is an unofficial branch but I hope I can help someone out Instructions 1. Delete your existing youtube-plugin. 2. Install from zip within Kodi. You might get an error running the plugin for the first time! Tested with reFocus skin on Jarvis (Linux) and reFocus skin on Krypton (OSX) Download zip from github RE: YouTube Plug-in Thread - lobotron - 2017-02-27 Still no worky on the alpha, I can log in now and see lists of videos but now it crashes to desktop or freezes http://pastebin.com/4SsVeR9J RE: YouTube Plug-in Thread - anxdpanic - 2017-02-27 Thanks, from what I can tell it's going to require something outside of Kodi to be resolved. We're getting outside of my scope at this point but main things I would look into would be OpenSSL, pyopenssl and cryptography. It does look like it was mentioned uninstalling pyopenssl to resolve it as well in the issue I posted previously, may be worth a try if not needed for anything else. I'll talk to someone to see if we can do an update. Jeff RE: YouTube Plug-in Thread - stanger192 - 2017-02-27 Hi, I am having issues with logging into youtube via the addon. After entering the first code at youtube.com/activate the addon gives a login failed notification. I have created the api keys as detailed in the first post, and tried have deleting 'YouTube TV' from the google 'apps connected to your account' webpage. I have also tried with v5.3.11alpha2 from GitHub. I cant see anything of interest in the kodi debug log file: Code: 16:44:33.553 T:139963303712512 INFO: Python script stopped Any suggestions on how I can log in? Thanks RE: YouTube Plug-in Thread - DjDiabolik - 2017-02-27 (2017-02-26, 19:27)anxdpanic Wrote: @DjDiabolik: That means the add-on will use inputstream.adaptive for dash support And i have it installed........ and activated......... how i need to do also ? *EDIT* I have that folder: /home/osmc/.kodi/userdata/addon_data/inputstream.adaptive/ But no folder on /home/osmc/.kodi/addon/.......... mmmmm it's possible disappears after the recent osmc upgrade ? Very strange because i have it installed before one week ago. It's possibly i need to reinstall / reactivated manually RE: YouTube Plug-in Thread - ReaperX - 2017-02-27 (2017-02-27, 04:09)anxdpanic Wrote: Thanks, from what I can tell it's going to require something outside of Kodi to be resolved. We're getting outside of my scope at this point but main things I would look into would be OpenSSL, pyopenssl and cryptography. Success! Your new alpha at first behaved just liked lobotron described, but uninstalling pyopenssl (which was still version 0.15.1) did the trick. Based on a playing a few videos, the plugin seems to be working on my system now. Are there any side effects of uninstalling that library? RE: YouTube Plug-in Thread - anxdpanic - 2017-02-27 @stanger192: All I can suggest at this point would be to double check your keys, if you want to try starting fresh you can go to Settings - Maintenance - Delete settings.xml @DjDiabolik: Possible, you'll have to tell us. My osmc install is up to date and it has remained installed and active for me. @ReaperX: Good news! Whether it's required or not would be user to user, if you don't use anything other than Kodi/add-ons that uses python then it should be fine. Now that you know though, you can easily install it again/upgrade it and try some things yourself. Should be able to have pyopenssl installed without issue (other than 16.1.0), may be worth searching/asking in the linux section. RE: YouTube Plug-in Thread - jdf76 - 2017-02-27 Hi All, I need testing responses on all platforms. Could you replace and tell me which platforms you're using and if it works successfully. This was we can make sure if i push it out to the repo and then the kodi repo it work sok. So Basically for the TL;DR crowd: Need testers. Reply here with OS Version or if using OSMC/SPMC/Whatever say so.. Kodi Version Youtube Plugin Version. So far we have OSMC and macOS tested. Do those spaces have to be included with the keys? Is there anyway to find out exactly why the login failed? Maybe additional logging in the addon? Also, will the addon shorten the api id from what is on the google website? What is in the settings.xml is a shortend version of what I originally put in there. Something along the lines of .googleusercontent.com... was removed. I'll try regenerating all the keys again today. I have back to check the setting.xml files and the previous override it's back to "false".............................. I don't have idea... but apparently on my pi2 the current version of youtube do not found or check the current version of inputstream installed on my OSMC...... Do those spaces have to be included with the keys? The whitespace and the .apps.googleusercontent.com are stripped, the add-on adds the .apps.googleusercontent.com itself. I will see what I can do debug logging wise when I get a chance. @DjDiabolik: You are using Kodi so you can't and shouldn't manually enable mpd.builtin, that is for SPMC users. And according to those settings it looks like you are using the inputstream.adaptive add-on (quality.mpd=true and mpd.addon=true). RE: YouTube Plug-in Thread - DjDiabolik - 2017-02-28 ^^ Infact... i don't understand because on log, during the startup of my osmc, appears the message apparently MPEG-Dash it's not used........ |
