Please follow the instructions again in Post #2 on Page 1 of this thread here and your problems should be fixed. Ok, got it. What I did was hide the sign in and sign out (why would I do that after I logged in, right?). So I was not logged in but the sign in menu was hidden. Simple as that... embarrassing RE: YouTube Plug-in Thread - I_Terrabull - 2017-04-09 (2017-04-09, 02:49)EricSol Wrote: Hi,This happen to me also. I had a playlist with videos that we're frequently deleted/removed by Youtube. I'm pretty sure the deleted videos are viewed a TOS violation. It seems like Google flagged this playlist and associated it my project. I always thought it was the uploader that got flagged for TOS, not people who simple added the link to a playlist. Maybe that has changed now. I thought about appealing, but in the end just created another project. RE: YouTube Plug-in Thread - thinkcow - 2017-04-10 Hi, First of all: Thanks for the great work you are doing! I've used 5.3.5 until Thursday (On libreelec 7 on a raspberry pi 3) without serious problems (the known bug of some "no video streams found" messages on some videos the only noticeable). I decided to upgrade libreelec to 8.0.1 (kodi krypton 17.1). Since then I've been unable to sign in... It gives me the pop-up with the code for YouTube.com/activate and when I put in the code (and allow the plugin access) it sometimes goes on to the second pop-up with the code for the 2nd login, but at the latest after allowing this access via the Google account it times out (Often it already times out on the first code). I first tried with the version from the Kodi repo 5.3.12, without private API keys... No go. Then I tried the same version with my own API key, no go. Then I tried with the 5.3.13-alpha (both with our without private API keys), same issue. (After each try I fully removed and reinstalled the plugin including all folders, to be sure to start with a clean install of the plugin) It almost seems like after the code is entered on YouTube.com/activate and accepting the access, this is not sent back to the plugin, which then waits for the reply until it times out... I have reinstalled and tried to sign in around 25 times in the last three days, about a quarter of the time it accepts the first authentication and goes on to ask for the second (no difference if I use the community api keys or my own, he asks me to authorize the correct thing, but stalls after I push accept). What am I doing wrong, or is there an issue at Google or in libreelec that is preventing the proper sign in? If a log helps, http://paste.ubuntu.com/24354030 here is one. (What makes me expect an issue on the side of Google is the line " Error Contents: HTTPSConnectionPool(host='www.youtube.com', port=443): Max retries exceeded with url: /o/oauth2/token (Caused by NewConnectionError('<requests.packages.urllib3.connection.VerifiedHTTPSConnection object at 0x6a9fecf0>: Failed to establish a new connection: [Errno 110] Connection timed out',)) " in the log). Sorry for the long post, but I'm slowly losing what's left of my sanity ☺. Many thanks in advance for any help! T YouTube Plug-in Thread - baba420 - 2017-04-10 I have also trouble with signing in. RE: YouTube Plug-in Thread - Wild Penguin - 2017-04-12 Hi, There are certain Youtube Videos that will always fail. Is this a known issue? If not, I will look up what's in the logs and paste it here (with some links to non-functioning clips on Youtube) RE: YouTube Plug-in Thread - thinkcow - 2017-04-12 @wild Penguin: Vevo music videos can be a hassle, but since updating to 5.3.12 (and actually getting it to authenticate ) I have not yet found anything that doesn't play. RE: YouTube Plug-in Thread - condor83 - 2017-04-13 Hi, I've noticed that with Kodi 16.1, the favourite cache for this addon won't update RE: YouTube Plug-in Thread - maseyray - 2017-04-13 Hi I've been using the youtube addon for many months perfectly fine operating Kodi 16.0 and then 16.1. I recently upgraded to 17.1 and all of a sudden i am unable to play HD content only - FHD and SD however all play smoothly without issue. It's definitely an issue that's brought about by the upgrade of Kodi version as if i reinstall 16.1 the problem disappears. The streams buffer and the picture becomes pixelated when the problem arises. I've done a bit of research already and have tried adjusting resolution settings and turned off the hd upscaling feature and disabled mediacodec. Nothing has worked and i'm out of ideas! I'd be massively grateful if anyone can help me out please!! Thank you RE: YouTube Plug-in Thread - DjDiabolik - 2017-04-14 (2017-04-13, 17:33)maseyray Wrote: Hi Rarely i also obtain some problems whit youtube video...... i have set to watch video at 720p and compared to the "old" kodi 16.x I think and I suppose that now there is still a long way to obtain the perfect machine and perfect combination between kodi himself and the inputstream adaptive. Supposedly the same kodi 17.x i think it isn't yet perfect in the aspect "buffering".............. Sorry my bad english......... I can get most videos (>90%) to play, but certain just timeout in the logs - i.e. the stream can not be played. The UI displays a generic error message (some items could not be played, more information in the logs). So these certain streams just always (and reliably) fail, while rest (reliably) can be played. Some examples: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vyvpbqlNaEw https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Sx5_QGdFmq4 Can you play these streams via KODI/Youtube plugin? There have been others, but I didn't record which streams it was. I've actually started to gather a playlist of failing streams, to find a pattern. This kind of errors are in the log file: Code: 15:44:26.297 T:140642647791360 NOTICE: [plugin.video.youtube] Running: YouTube (5.3.12) on Krypton (Kodi-17.1) with Python 2.7.13 RE: YouTube Plug-in Thread - jdf76 - 2017-04-14 Try the beta and see if it fixes it. https://github.com/jdf76/plugin.video.youtube/releases/tag/5.3.13 Jeff RE: YouTube Plug-in Thread - Wild Penguin - 2017-04-14 Hi Jeff, I tried the beta and report, that sadly it does not fix this. Please let me know if you can reproduce this, and/or if you'd like a debug log from me Here's a few other streams that are giving me problems: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B7xGhVfKVKU https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pLf5yajMJvY I was able to play the chiptune (BtxGhVfKVKU)once, but I think it was a fluke since it has always failed before and fails again. Also, sometimes I do not get the error dialog, kodi just doesn't play it (doesn't crash either), still with the similar timeout messages in the log, though. RE: YouTube Plug-in Thread - bimple - 2017-04-15 jdf76 - Thanks for a great add-on! I have been looking for developer documentation, as far as what parameters are allowed, etc. when calling up this add-on in another add-on. I have figured out how to call up playlists, channels, and users, but can't seem to find the example for a single video. I found: Code: url="plugin://plugin.video.youtube/?path=root/video&action=play_video&videoid=ID", Also, is there any current and updated documentation regarding this add-on that I can refer to? Thanks again. RE: YouTube Plug-in Thread - beeve - 2017-04-15 I also have this problem on both my LibreElec S905 boxes. It's driving me nuts and making the plugin almost unusable.
