Honestly the zip i made was just what ever was in the repo. I made it because people wanted to try it out.

Some speak about 5.2.4.................

@twilight0......... make some explanation because 5.2.2 it's apparently the last developed version...

Its the last released version. They bumped to 5.2.4 and skipped one point. I assumed they 've been doing some tests, so I was willing to do some on my own.

RE: Official YouTube Plug-in Thread - jdf76 - 2016-10-05

yah, unfortunately h0d3nt3uf3l would need to tell me if it's worth posting to the kodi repo or not.

as far as the API issue, i think thats not going to be fixed anytime soon, plus i think there are like 3 other issues outstanding for Krypton, but like i said. I'm not really do anything on the coding side. I'm just helping here on the forum and doing the admin work to help update kodi repo because i've done it before.

Sorry i can't be more helpful.

Jeff

RE: Official YouTube Plug-in Thread - Uli666 - 2016-10-05

Hello everybody!
I have just installed version 5.2.2 of the YouTube add-on. I could login without problems and most of the sections seem to work fine, except for History (incidentally the one I need most). I can open it, but it's empty.
Any idea of what's wrong? How can I fix that to see videos in my History?

Thank you for your help!
Uli666

I got confused a bit...

This is addon.xml, 5.2.4 version:

This is the BETA release:

RE: Official YouTube Plug-in Thread - colbert - 2016-10-06

Using Krypton Beta 3, I acknowledge from the first post that it is not well supported, but since the add-on is working A+ all-around except for Live playback, I'm just wondering if my issue is something on my end or attributable to known issues with the add-on and Krypton.

Playing any live stream has it take a long time to start, very briefly play, then freeze and cache at 1% or 2%, then constantly: Freeze+fast-forward to catch up, repeat.

Hi all! Sorry for my bad English, because i am a russian human. Please teach me how do i can get over 50 items per page on channels? Which .py file do i have to edit? It seems it will be a simple action for me. I already tired to press "Next page" and cried so much SadI want to increase it to 100 items or more, but i see only 5-50 range in these plug-in settings. Please help me, and will not hate me! I am only the simple russian human, it doesn't equal a racist or a communist Smile

How'd you accomplish this? I'm on Krypton and the latest Youtube Add-on Beta that was posted, but still only see 720p as my highest option. Do I need to do something in order to enable DASH?

Thanks for your reply jmh!
Unfortunately I can't use the method you proposed because I use the History to watch on Kodi videos that I previously started on my PC, so I don't need a list of local watched items on Kodi.
For now I partially resolved the problem with the "Send to XBMC" (works with Kodi too) add-on for Firefox, that allows to send the video stream from YouTube to playback on Kodi.
Anyway, I still prefer the History in the official plugin. Do you think it can be fixed anytime soon or it's gone forever?

Cheers,
Uli666

Do you have inputstream enabled. I think it requires something else to do in the settings. My internet doesn't work (using public wifi) so i can't test.

I don't see any inputstream options, I'm running the latest beta of Krypton, do I need to switch to the nightly?

RE: Official YouTube Plug-in Thread - Wanilton - 2016-10-07

@unrequited, I only use in windows, you need 2 dlls extras, and active InputStream MPD. Check this thread if you use windows os.

RE: Official YouTube Plug-in Thread - unrequited - 2016-10-07

Ahhh, I'm on FireTV (Android) so I'm guessing that's not possible currently?

RE: Official YouTube Plug-in Thread - mark112887 - 2016-10-08

I have a question, I was successfully able to implement the fix for the watch later section but when I tried the same thing for the watch history section it doesn't work. Does anybody know what I can do to fix that section as well?
