RE: LibreELEC Testbuilds for x86_64 (Kodi 17.0) - _Spook_ - 2016-10-05 So, my tests show: On the NUC6i5SYK #1005x sound 4.8 final no 4k patch #1003x no sound 4.8 final 4k patch #0926x no sound 4.8 rc8 4k patch #0917l no sound 4.8 rc6 4k patch The tests I did before with the #0917 builds was on NUC6i7KYK that has some other hardware components. I will test on that also. EDIT: On the NUC6i7KYK (Adjust display refreshrate: off, or else no video or sound) #1005x sound 4.8 final no 4k patch #1003x sound 4.8 final 4k patch #0926x sound 4.8 rc8 4k patch #0917l sound 4.8 rc6 4k patch So it behaves different on different hardware... EDIT2: Just wanted to add that my setup it 4k all the way. So the 4k patch should work on my setup. RE: LibreELEC Testbuilds for x86_64 (Kodi 17.0) - Milhouse - 2016-10-05 Thanks both. Odd results, @_Spook_. It's possible there's some extra SND_SOC options that could be enabled but it also risks breaking something else... I'll see if I can pin it down. RE: LibreELEC Testbuilds for x86_64 (Kodi 17.0) - _Spook_ - 2016-10-05 I know, it's very strange. Let me know if you need something tested. RE: LibreELEC Testbuilds for x86_64 (Kodi 17.0) - Eisi2005 - 2016-10-05 @Milhouse I know the problem has already been discussed but I do not know the status. When I start kodi new I can by holding down the right or left button of my remote control rapidly up scrolling through my library. After I sent kodi once in the suspend mode and have reawakened works scroll only slowly when I hold the button down. Is this a known problem? I have the version 0924 installed RE: LibreELEC Testbuilds for x86_64 (Kodi 17.0) - Milhouse - 2016-10-05 (2016-10-05, 20:23)Eisi2005 Wrote: @Milhouse I think you're the first person to report this. Please describe your hardware, although it's unlikely there's an easy fix unless #1005x works better for you as this has a brand spanking new kernel. Alternatively, buy a cheap IR dongle (FLIRC etc.). By the way, I'll be switching to the 4.8.0 kernel tonight. RE: LibreELEC Testbuilds for x86_64 (Kodi 17.0) - Milhouse - 2016-10-06 New LibreELEC.tv Krypton build #1005: Generic (Supercedes previous build) Code: # uname -a Based on tip of LibreELEC.tv master (a9463290, changelog) and tip of XBMC master (6618c8f5, changelog) with the following modifications:
RE: LibreELEC Testbuilds for x86_64 (Kodi 17.0) - mikeboss - 2016-10-06 I just tested the latest build #1005 to see if an issue I'm experiencing with LibreELEC is being resolved (skipping frames on intel NUC). for more info see here: https://forum.libreelec.tv/thread-1231.html the system is constantly skipping frames, even with this latest build... it's subtle when watching movies (maybe one or two frames skipped every 10 seconds or so) but I'm noticing it. the command "kodi-send --action=PlayerDebug" confirms my observations. regards, michael RE: LibreELEC Testbuilds for x86_64 (Kodi 17.0) - Boulder - 2016-10-06 Have you opened a ticket at trac.kodi.tv? It would be helpful as it would get more attention there. OpenELEC 6.0.3 definitely isn't skipping any frames... RE: LibreELEC Testbuilds for x86_64 (Kodi 17.0) - Eisi2005 - 2016-10-06 @Milhouse after Updating to 1005 remote Control works perfect. Greets RE: LibreELEC Testbuilds for x86_64 (Kodi 17.0) - conca - 2016-10-06 @Milhouse Nuc 6i3 arrived and the problem is solved .... now I've installed the new Krypton build #1005 with no problem. RE: LibreELEC Testbuilds for x86_64 (Kodi 17.0) - mikeboss - 2016-10-06 okay. as it seems, the cause of the issue I had is the long known limitation of certain intel graphics controllers (because of the clock generator logic these chips are unable to output true 23,976 Hz). I still wonder why I had no troubles while running OpenELEC 6.0.3 though... RE: LibreELEC Testbuilds for x86_64 (Kodi 17.0) - wookl - 2016-10-06 How does one reenable long press? RE: LibreELEC Testbuilds for x86_64 (Kodi 17.0) - Markus_23 - 2016-10-06 @milhouse: just read in libreelec forum, that in their V7.90.006alpha there has been a digitaldevices Cine S2 patch included, which helps using those tv-cards out-of-the-box. Is this patch also included in your version ? Still looking forward in testing your version with my hardware (Skylake HD520 + CineS2). |
