That PR is totally not related. It's a known issue

Hmm at least on Windows but not sure on Linux. Will try

Audio not initialising from suspend still present on my AMD system as per logs I posted.
I can get it to re-init just by opening settings -> system, sound returns.

Just to add this system ran W10 with kodi nightly's with no audio issues in the past or present on that platform.

@Milhouse : Thanks a lot for your really good releases. But one question. What is it about the Kabylake you just implemented? Are there already Kabylakes available? I thought Intel will release Kabylake next year.... I'm waiting for Kabylake because of 4K and HDR and 10Bit Smile
Again, thanks for your excellent work you deliver....

RE: LibreELEC Testbuilds for x86_64 (Kodi 17.0) - Milhouse - 2016-10-26

I was asked to add it by someone with an Apollo Lake motherboard.

RE: LibreELEC Testbuilds for x86_64 (Kodi 17.0) - _Spook_ - 2016-10-26

Kaby Lake is out for some laptops and system in a box, but in very limited numbers so far. Intel NUC and desktop Kaby Lake Q1 2017.

Hi guys. I dont get any LE Version installed on my apollo lake ASROCK J4205 ITX.
After that I would update to your Apollo Lake Release...but I cant boot via Libreelec-Bootstick, made by the LE-Tool with LE Alpha 7.

Any hints what I should do?! Win 10 is running perfectly :-(

My last Idea: Install LE on my old J1900, update it there with your Apollo Lake Release and then use the new Mainboard.

What happens, how far does it get? LE 7.90.007 is using the same kernel as these builds.

Edit: Ah no - 7.90.007 is based on 4.7.6. It's 7.90.008 (which is undergoing internal testing) that is based on 4.8.4.

Edit2: You could try updating the USB bootstick with the SYSTEM and KERNEL files from the latest tar file, then booting your PC with the updated bootstick.

RE: LibreELEC Testbuilds for x86_64 (Kodi 17.0) - john.cord - 2016-10-27

Does Split Episode Matching not work in V17. I got a split TV Show Episode (show_xyz.s01e01.1.mkv & show_xyz.s01e01.2.mkv) and Kodi does not match the two Files to a single Episode DB Entry... Huh

RE: LibreELEC Testbuilds for x86_64 (Kodi 17.0) - fritsch - 2016-10-27

Nice - Apollo Lake in the wild.

For kodi:
- We did not yet implement HEVC-10 bit support via VAAPI. We need to solve the buffer sharing / zero copy here. At best we would be able to "keep" the 10 bit.
- As a short term we could use VPP to transform the 10 bit to an 8 bit surface (yeah it sucks - I know)
- Funny sidenote: In combination with the below patch kodi 16.1 should work - as this uses vaPutSurface infrastructure which does a 10 -> 8 conversion implicitely.

For ffmpeg:
- a patch is needed: https://github.com/FFmpeg/FFmpeg/commit/fb37da37ac1e17f643269ea5bad5bee7e79dcb3a
