RE: LibreELEC Testbuilds for x86 (Kodi 17.0) - MariusB - 2016-05-10

On my Intel NUC5CPYH currently running the build 0505X I just faced the following issue.
Yesterday I have disabled the Screensaver suspecting that this workaround might resolve the "blank screen" issue that I wrote about in my earlier posts (my NUC is always on, just receiver and TV are switched off when not used).
It seemed that initially it helped - I didn't face blank screen issue since that time but when I switched on the system today the Home screen of KODI was visible on the TV screen but the whole system was frozen.
It didn't react to the remote and keyboard, LibreElec was not on a Network and it was not pingable.
I had to "hard" reboot the NUC.
I am still using 0505X but I am going to try 0509X.

@Milhouse
I know that your versions are targeted to generic and rpi. Can you please let me know where I can find krypton build for wetek play?
Thanks

I can't get more than 30 seconds before a GUI lock up

Pause and Unpause one or two times and the playback is normal. I tried to get a log but any attempt to reproduce it with log level enabled failed. Both on my chromebox and the 2820 NUC.

Same here with chromebox (2955U) and kernel 4.6. No issues with kernel 4.4.7 build.

I'll provide logs in the evening when I'm back at home.

OK, had time to test it earlier:

The behaviour occurs between 11:59:51 and 12:00:27

THX... i tried hard yesterday but no luck. Is it in your case too that the drops are in a constant order and the video looks like a choppy low fps video? Do you have the Unpause Jumpback Addon installed? (http://kodi.wiki/view/Add-on:XBMC_Unpause_Jumpback). I still got the issue with the latest 509x Build :-(

RE: LibreELEC Testbuilds for x86 (Kodi 17.0) - MariusB - 2016-05-10

Upgraded from 0505X to 0509X - KODI is frozen in about an hour (LibreElec is reachable via ssh).

RE: LibreELEC Testbuilds for x86 (Kodi 17.0) - tinzarian - 2016-05-10

I have a Zotac Zbox CI520, which was running the #0419 build. After I installed the  #0503 something is f'ed up with the power and or IR-settings. After a shutdown it won't power up with the remote, I have to do it manually.

Rolling back to 419 solves it, so this broke with some build in between.

Edit: Build #0420 is the last one that worked, it's still broken in #0509

Ask on the LibreELEC forum (as you have done, thanks) or in the #irc channel, someone may have one.

Please can anyone tell me where I can find the Base LibreELEC build for Kodi 17. I am running LibreELEC (Jarvis 16.1) v7.0.0 on a Intel Celeron N3050 based NUC. I would like to try out the Kodi 17.0 test build. Thanks in advance for any help.

There are no official LibreELEC Kodi 17 builds yet (what will be LibreELEC 8.0). These will become available in due course when the LE alpha testing starts - I think LE are waiting for Kodi 17 to hit beta before starting with official LE 8 builds.

If you want to try out a a LibreELEC Kodi 17 test build, you could look no further than the first post in this thread...

If you mean this post that's not a crash log.

As you're using an addon to change profiles I would advise testing again with tonight's #0509(x) build now that PR9778 has been updated and hopefully fixed any remaining deadlock-type issues, which could be what you are experiencing.

Yes i confirm, now works perfectly
No problem switching audio

Maybe in future you solve also problem with edid not loaded ...you are a god Big Grin

I was not sure if I needed a base build to add your test build to. Thanks for the help and your work on this project
