RE: LibreELEC Testbuilds for x86 (Kodi 17.0) - boostberry3g - 2016-06-15

I updated and now mythtv seems to be missing? The HDHomerun app still display channels, but I do not have a guide, tv listings, or recordings. However I can go in and find recordings by adding them as a source. Do I need to change a setting or update anything, or is anyone else having any issue?

EDIT: Went to grab logs, and when it restarted the PVR, Guide, and Recordings all showed back up!

RE: LibreELEC Testbuilds for x86 (Kodi 17.0) - schumi2004 - 2016-06-15

Did anyone looked in my issue already?
http://forum.kodi.tv/showthread.php?tid=269815&pid=2355921#pid2355921

I updated to build #613 and the issue is still present.
What kind of logging should i provide to get more specific information regarding this?

No help possible without the related Debug Log

I checked log last time but it didn't contain any useful information, should i enable specific modules for debugging this since dmesg says this:

Code:
[81487.406197] Out of memory: Kill process 13130 (kodi.bin) score 813 or sacrifice child
[81487.406303] Killed process 13130 (kodi.bin) total-vm:4218636kB, anon-rss:2927112kB, file-rss:0kB, shmem-rss:0kB
[81488.105047] oom_reaper: reaped process 13130 (kodi.bin), now anon-rss:0kB, file-rss:24kB, shmem-rss:0kB

Something (maybe an add-on) is using up a lot of memory, resulting in Kodi (or some component of Kodi) being killed. A debug log (wiki) might shed some light on any unusual Kodi behaviour.

I'd suggest trying a clean kodi without any third party add-ons (ie. "systemctl stop kodi; mv .kodi .kodi.bak; reboot"), and see if you can reproduce.

If you cannot reproduce the issue then it's a third-party add-on that is causing the problem - start adding back your add-ons until the problem is reproduced, and the last add-on is likely to be the cause.

You could also identify the first build that has this out-of-memory issue, as that might help narrow down a potential cause.

This is unlikely, but it may also be worth running memtest86+ to ensure you've no hardware (RAM) issues.

Okay, thanks for your feedback.

Going to enable full debug first, then i'll do a clean install after issues returns again and follow your steps.
I'll get back to you if something is found.

note: I needed to revert back to #612 since my MCE remote stopt functioning for the first time running your builds but will check that out later.

A quick question if i may , did your MCE remote rely on remote entry being seen as a keyboard ?

RE: LibreELEC Testbuilds for x86 (Kodi 17.0) - schumi2004 - 2016-06-15

I hope I understand your question correctly but i didn't configured it as keyboard. If it was detected as keyboard in build #613 i don't know, need to check.
I only had a brief look at dmesg.

If you like i can upgrade again and perform some actions if wanted?

Please let me know if you need anything else!

Still seeing this Kernel bug in latest build #0505

I'm having the exact same issue (with Intel i3-3225 CPU and Denon 1612 AVR, but Sharp LED TV).
It happens on LE 7.0.1 and LE 7.90.002 ALPHA and Milhouse' latest build #0614.
If I switch back to OE 6.0.3, everything is fine again.

@SmallwoodDR82 Should we resurrect your bug report opened at freedesktop.org?
Can we provide anything else besides what you already delivered?
@Milhouse: Before I invest time in pulling OE 6.0.3 sources from Github and try to build it myself: Will this work to run OE 6.0.3 with the 4.6 kernel? And how dependent are all the components in the latest build (#0614) on this kernel, could we swap it out with 4.1.x?

My MCE remote has also stopped working with #0614, everything works ok with #0613 (I have no add-ons installed at all).

Same issue. Harmony remote setup as MCE remote, no buttons work with 0614.

Should be fixed in #0614 - can you post your #0614 debug log (wiki)?
