RE: LibreELEC Testbuilds for x86 (Kodi 17.0) - csutcliff - 2016-06-28
Hi, would it be possible to have a choice of the 4.7 kernel again for the latest build(s)? It seemed to be much less prone to blank screens/wrong resolution output on my haswell nuc.
Thanks

Blank screen when ? At boot ?

No. 4.7 will come in it's own time, the previous builds were one-off "toes in the water".

Be sure and let us know when "PR:9731: [WIP] 3dlut and simple ICC linking support for color correction" returns. Also waiting for passthru to work correctly again. That said, thanks for your work on this.

What's Happened To The Changelog Display ?
I've been keeping up with the bleeding edge of Krypton development pretty religiously (including #0625), and last night discovered I cannot display the Changelog text of ANY addon. How curious .
So I went back through time - restoring previous builds - until the text was successfully displayed... and found myself back at #0611. This is the debug log from #0611 where I am able to see the Changelog info displayed for the CBC video addon.
By way of contrast, here is the debug log of the same operations (ie: attempt to see CBC Changelog info) running the latest #0626 build. No luck... Nuthin' to See Here .
BTW, any/every build I tried > #0611 gave the same result - no Changelog text displayed.
Am I the only one to experience this loss of functionality ?
...and YES - I'm using the Krypton version of Xonfluence skin. I attempted to get results with Estuary, but could not even find a way to trigger a Changelog text display.
There are those who love Estuary... and I'm with the other group .

Thanks for identifying the last working build. The change in behaviour is due to the following change in #0612:
(2016-06-13, 00:24)Milhouse Wrote: - Build Details:
- [addons] move changelog to addon.xml (PR:9351, 1 commit, 9 files changed)
Krypton compatible add-ons should now be using the <news> tag in addon.xml for changelog details. The changelog.txt file is no longer supported in Krypton (after PR9351).
As this change is not backwards compatible add-ons that do not support the <news> tag will not be able to display any changelog details in the latest Krypton builds. Very few addons have updated to support the new tag, and it may take some time before they do.
