lukerayner Wrote:Much the same problem here.

Have installed XBMC-SVN_2008-10-06_rev15805-T3CH-BETA2 and the "SVN release (zip)" of iplayer for XBMC and when you click to watch whatever program I just get the little loading thing in the corner come up then disappear and no video plays. I have also tried the xbmc-iplayer-plugin-200810162049.zip and this does the same. Both above zip files where from http://code.google.com/p/xbmc-iplayer/ . I have checked the log and am getting:

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I have previously had some really old versions of the iplayer installed on the same xbox, there is no old settings that may still be present that may be causing the problem?

Is yours working now gavjbrown?

Heres my full log. http://pastebin.com/m34b68259

Is there a file named 'BeautifulSoup.py' in your 'plugins\video\iplayer_dead\lib\' directory?

Odd, can you try changing the 'video stream' setting to 'Flash VP6' or 'Flash Wii' and let me know if that works. If it doesn't, a new xbmc.log would be handy.

Are you absolutely sure they're all there?

Can you give me a listing of the files in Q:\plugins\video\iplayer_dead\ and Q:\plugins\video\iplayer_dead\lib\ please as this is particularly confusing/scary.

Might be a silly sugestion but...

How many installs of Xbmc do u have on your xbox? are u sure your putting the files in the right xbmc install?

It's picking up the right stream which is good, but seems to fail connecting or opening the stream.

Unfortunately I'm not sure what to suggest...

Ok, off to work now but when i get a chance I'll try it on my other xbox and see the results.

( only one XBMC installed in e\apps\xbmc\ )

It's strange as all other plug ins - NinjaVideo/ITV work fine, only thing I can think of is that it just don't seem to want to read that iplayer directory

Can you please try renaming 'beautifulsoup.py' to 'BeautifulSoup.py' (note capitalisation.)

If it won't let you, try renaming it to 'blah.py' (or something) first, then to the proper name.

Awesome, it was because the files were lowercase, now works great Smile
