when i try to install an add on . i click on install from zip file, i see the link that i named but when i click on it theres ...nothing there.......help....please

I got ya...
1) What are you trying to install?
2) IS it a .zip file? ONLY zips will work. If it is .rar, make it a zip.
3) Sometimes, if the file is within another folder, it won't work well. Example: widgetmenu.zip/widgetmenu (folder)/widgetmenu (folder)/widgetmenu.xml = Make it so the zip goes right to the root folder instead of a folder within a folder. De-Inception it
4) You can always pop it in via your network. Get a program called winscp (so many tutorials on here). Depending on your system, you may have to put a default user/password. Drop your unzipped file folder into .kodi/addons. After it's in, reboot. Should be there.
