RE: adbLink 3.8: Windows/Mac/Linux Companion for Kodi - grumpynana - 2018-11-13 Hi I am struggling to run adblink on Linix Mint 18.2 Sonya - I would like to reset my Amazon Firestick from my laptop through USB I have downloaded adbll38.zip, extracted it and confirmed rwx access (I am doing this all as root anyway) Any tips please? RE: adbLink 3.8: Windows/Mac/Linux Companion for Kodi - jocala - 2018-11-13 (2018-11-13, 12:56)grumpynana Wrote: Hi You shouldn't need root, except for moving the adbLink folder to /usr/local/bin/, if you choose to do so. What is your issue? If adbLink won't start, cd to its folder and try running it from the command-line Code: $ ./adbLink Note any error messages. RE: adbLink 3.8: Windows/Mac/Linux Companion for Kodi - jocala - 2018-12-07 I've deployed a patched version of adbLink 3.8 that displays as usual when using macOS dark mode. Note, it does not implement a dark mode version of adbLink, it just keeps the original appearance no matter which mode is selected. Please download and re-install if dark mode is an issue for you. RE: adbLink 3.9: Windows/Mac/Linux Companion for Kodi - guyf - 2019-01-05 Do I need the plexmedia server running for this? at the moment it is Do I need a account with plexmedia for this? at the moment I don't have a account I have to say using the install apk was NO problem I'm just asking because when I plugged a usb stick in it asked permission for this app. RE: adbLink 3.9: Windows/Mac/Linux Companion for Kodi - jocala - 2019-01-05 adbLink doesn't require plex or interact with it in any way. It's a front-end for Google's adb utility. adbLink 3.9: Windows/Mac/Linux Companion for Kodi - msnow - 2019-01-06 (2019-01-05, 17:34)jocala Wrote: adbLink doesn't require plex or interact with it in any way. It's a front-end for Google's adb utility. I used adbLink to backup my Plex Media Server data files on my Shield remotely. Works like a charm. RE: adbLink 3.9: Windows/Mac/Linux Companion for Kodi - guyf - 2019-01-07 Hi, On your advice I installed version 3.5 but there was no change in behaviour. I do seems to be able to install apk's. Is there anything I can do to help troubleshooting? Kind reagrds Guy Forssman RE: adbLink 3.9: Windows/Mac/Linux Companion for Kodi - jocala - 2019-01-08 Still working fine here, oddly enough. Try double-clicking the device id in the "connected devices" listbox. RE: adbLink 3.9: Windows/Mac/Linux Companion for Kodi - VonMagnum - 2019-01-09 adbLink 3.9 says on the web site "10.7 or greater" for the version of OS X support, but when I tried to install it with El Capitan here (10.11.6), it says it requires macOS 10.12 or greater. Thus, I can no longer use the latest version. Sadly, every time I start the previous version it keeps hounding me with "upgrade to 3.9 now?" Yeah, no means no, right? Sadly, it doesn't. It doesn't remember your selection. RE: adbLink 3.9: Windows/Mac/Linux Companion for Kodi - jocala - 2019-01-09 Thank you for the heads-up. You can turn off version checks in preferences. I'm all Mojave with the exception of one High Sierra 2011 Macbook Pro for dev/testing purposes, unfortunately. I'll make adjustments to the website regarding macOS requirements. RE: adbLink 4.0: Windows/Mac/Linux Companion for Kodi - jocala - 2019-02-02 adbLink 4.0 02/02/19 File manager empty panel issue fixed If file manager still has a blank panel you may have to reinstall busybox on your device: 1. Utility menu 2. Reinstall Busybox Google+ support links removed. Google+ is EOL 4/2/19. https://www.jocala.com RE: adbLink 4.0: Windows/Mac/Linux Companion for Kodi - jocala - 2019-02-03 Just to reiterate, if file manager still displays blank panels with v4.0 adbLink, reinstall busybox via the utility menu. That should fix the issue.. |
