RE: adbLink 4.9: Windows/Mac/Linux Companion for Kodi - jocala - 2022-04-21

Thanks for the feedback.  Are you able to open the dmg and see the contents?

RE: adbLink 4.9: Windows/Mac/Linux Companion for Kodi - ontap - 2022-04-21

yes I can look at contents.

RE: adbLink 4.9: Windows/Mac/Linux Companion for Kodi - jocala - 2022-04-21

Ok, try this:

1. Open the dmg and drag adbLink app to your desktop
2. Open terminal
3. paste this into terminal:  open -a ~/Desktop/adbLink.app

Note any error messages.

Thanks!

Tried that , get the pop up "adblink is damaged and can't be opened. You should move it to Bin. "

No idea whats occurring here. I just downloaded both dmg files, they opened w/o error and both programs work fine.

Here are links to zip files rather than dmg archives.

Just downloaded both zips they unzip and the programs run w/o error.

Just uploaded a different build, thanks for testing.

NOTE:  adbLink 4.9 has been pulled due to build issues.  If you downloaded v4.9  please visit http://www.jocala.com and download adbLink v5.0. Thank you and sorry for the bother!

RE: adbLink 5.0: Windows/Mac/Linux Companion for Kodi - jocala - 2022-04-22

M1 Beta: You may get an error message when opening these apps saying they are damaged and should be deleted. Fix this with the terminal command: "xattr -cr /path/to/adbLink.app". No idea why Mac is marking these apps as damaged. Investigating ...

Edit:  Fixed.  The installation file is now in pkg format.

Just updated from 5.0 to 5.1 on a Windows 10 PC and I can no longer connect to my device via USB.

5.0 connected fine then asked if I wanted to update to 5.1. I said yes and downloaded/installed it and now no USB connection.

Reverted to 5.0 and USB connection works again.

FWIW, just tested two different Android devices via USB on Win 10 and other than the customary prompt to allow the ADB connection on each device, I encountered no issues whatsoever.
