Rumblepad 2 right analog stick up/down crashes kodi, log included - elra - 2016-06-15

Hi guys, not sure if this is the correct place to post this. I'm using a Logitech Rumblepad2 wired controller and when I press the right analog stick even slightly UP/DOWN it crashes kodi every time. This is really annoying because right analog stick LEFT/RIGHT seeks in the video/music to jump back or forward, so if I tilt the stick in the wrong direction even slightly kodi crashes.

This is the log, is there any way to get around this?
(It's not related to joytokey because exiting joytokey and moving the stick in kodi still causes a crash.)

(I had switched to a PS4 DS4 wired, but windows 10 suddenly refuses to accept it, saying USB device not recognized and it works on and off in a very annoying manner. I think it's the micro-usb port that's done for so I might have to get a bluetooth dongle to see if I can get any use out of it still... So until then I have to use this rumbledpad2, which is ok because at least the d-pad works on a rumblepad, it doesn't on a DS4 in kodi)

here is the log:

edit: this is apparently related to the directx problem that causes kodi to crash multiple times a day if you have gamepad support enabled, I worked around it by disabling gamepad support, using joytokey with the gamepad and the kodi addon keymap editor, no more crashes!
