Audio dropouts when playing live TV on Mac Mini - markdstjohn - 2016-07-25 I'm running Kodi 16.1 on a 2009 Mac Mini using an optical cable connected to a Denon AVR (this Mac Mini does not have an HDMI port). I've setup a mythtv backend that is connected to a HDHomeRun Prime. When playing live tv, I experience brief audio dropouts, especially at first when I change the channel. I have passthrough enabled, but I also experience the same issue if passthrough is disabled. Can anyone help? Here's my kodi.log: http://pastebin.com/EUYEnHWB Thanks in advance. RE: Audio dropouts when playing live TV on Mac Mini - rpcameron - 2016-07-25 The audio issues can be switching between number of channels (i.e. 5.1 -> stereo) in the feed. I notice this especially at commercial transitions. Another possibility is A/V sync issues and the dropout/stutter is a resync of the A/V, especially if there was a packet loss. (MythTV uses udp/rtp when using any SD tuner, including the Prime, rather than the TCP interface, so there is no verification of packets being received.) |
