I found out my issue... it's an HDMI handshake issue. I leave the Zidoo powered on 24/7. When I fire up my tv and receiver there is about a minute long blank screen before video input is found. This is where the issues happen. Shutting the TV, receiver and X9S down and restarting corrects the issue.

I'm thinking this is less a zidoo issue and more of a Denon issue. I've had HDCP problems with this receiver in the past.

Is the 1.3.0 Beta worth a try or should i wait until official release? What ZDMC version works with it?

Has anyone been able to successfully use a Logitech Harmony Remote? I haven't been able to get my harmony report to work with the X8

The zidoo is in the harmony database, I buyed (and returned) both zidoo x8 and x9s and no issue with my harmony ultimate one

Hi,

My Zidoo X9S is working very well.
It plays videos in FULLHD or 4K from a NAS box through NFS..

However I found some issues with some 4K media.
It gives an error "Can't play video".

The media file has a common encoding: HEVC, 4:2:2 YUV 10bit, FrameRate: 23.976024

Is not a problem with network because it has failed also with a local USB disk.
I tried to open in my macbook with VLC and it works (even very sloooowwwwww).

How can I check what is the root problem here?

If this is with the zidoo player, Zidoo has a tool that can save a log file in case of an error. The log file may have some info about the failure. I could also recommend remuxing the file with MKVToolnix and trying again.

Nikos, what is the Zidoo tool name? Is installed already on the system or must be installed - in these case, where can I get it?

Normal 1080p tv

Not even 3d, and no passthrough either

I also tried remux the file, but with no luck...

Could it be the size of the file (40gb+) that not allow to be played?! Is there any limit known?

Hi, sorry for the delay to answer. The tool is this

Basically you install it, you open it, press the button to start writing to a log file, then open media center, play the file until you get the error, go back to the logging app and press the button to stop writing to the file. You can open the file with a normal txt editor and of course, you can submit the file to Zidoo.

I play files larger than 40GBs, mostly BD ISOs. I doubt it is a problem because of the file size.
