how are you guys getting Blu Ray menus? I've tried 25 and got one on a Lord of the Rings Extras Blu-ray. I've tried all the options on the first menu "Blu-ray menu" "main title' etc. I did update to 1.4.4. The menus work fine on PowerDVD.

Would 3D be better on X8/9s than on Pi3 with Kodi?
Sharper, better, deeper whatever?
Upscaling from DVD files on X8/9s better than Pi?

ZDMC 17.1 is missing the mysql configuration add-on. Anyone know where to quickly get this?

I also click on "Blu-ray menu" but the movie just starts playing next without showing me the blu-ray menu. If someone has gotten it to work, please share how.

What's the HDR support like?

Unsure. My TV is 2nd Gen 4K (HDMI 2.0 no HDR). Regular MKV's with HDR have been reported to play properly. I can't see why it wouldn't work properly with the new update... if there are issues Zidoo is fairly quick on fixing them.

Two biggest issues I'd expect to be are a 10-bit transparent replay path, and HDR metadata insertion into the HDMI 2.0 output.

I'm assuming this is not possible then. Huh

You would need serious HDR testing first before believing all the Marketing Hype and "Wow it works because my TV Shows a HDR Logo onscreen" type reviews.
I would have the same questions as @noggin.

BTW: Last time I checked UHD Blurays Copy protection was uncrackable - you cannot self Rip UHD Bluray .ISO's.
Not sure how Zidoo can say they Support 4K UHD Blu-ray Players - unless you can directly connect Physical UHD Player Hardware to the x8\x9s\x10 media players.

Someone cracked/something else the Smurfs 2 UHD Bluray and dumped the entire ISO of it. I'm assuming they tested against this.

I seriously doubt UHD AACS 2.0 Encryption has been cracked when...

Quote:According to several sources, the audio does seem to sync, however, the Maximum Content Light Level, Maximum Frame-Average Light Level, and overall colors appear to be off.

Does not look like a full .ISO Rip to me when there are those problems.

It seems to have chapters and probably even the menu. That makes me really suspect that this could be a real 4K Blu-ray copy. At the same time, something is not right if the MaxCLL and MaxFALL are different from that of the retail 4K Blu-ray disc.

It could be a stolen copy from the authoring company in China or Mexico.
