Aside from this, PQ between HiMedia, Zidoo, Intel MVC and RPi2/3 are all close. Especially if you disable Imprex on HiMedia (which mostly minimizes its effect). One person's personal preference of one of these over the other three is purely subjective. I have all 4, and IMHO, by very tiny margins, Intel > Zidoo > HiMedia & Pi2/3 (these two tied, for different reasons). If you played the same videos from all 4 one after the other, and didn't tell me which box in order, I'd likely fail the test.

Nice to have another HT fanatic validate my review; thanks. Added your review to post #1. Yes, fixing MVC and flipeyes should be a priority. For DVD, they've already said too complicated, and want to focus on the other stuff at this point. The private beta APK they shared w/me at least fixes using DVD menus; there's just no way to get back to it after you select a title for playback.

@hdmkv: Can you please test this clip on the X9S and Q10 Pro? It is the credit roll of a movie. Any offset in 23.976fps playback can be caught in the credit roll. I would focus on the top edge of the frame and look for frame "slip".

Sat through end credits of several 1080p/23.976 movies already, 2D and 3D. With X9S, no frame slips or skips from what I could see. Tried to keep my eyes from blinking 'A Clockwork Orange' style
. With Q10 Pro, slips are noticeable with 3D only.I'll try your clip as well, both on a 1080p and 4K display.

. 23.976 is a PITA enough for quite a few media players... don't introduce new framerates .@movie78, I'm not ready to proclaim X9S better than Intel, but HiMedia, very marginally (and totally subjectively), yes.

from my opinion are close but different:
- With native player q10 when engine is OFF have equal picture quality of x9s , when engine is ON q10 have more contrast but less sharper.
- with Dvdplayer(kodi) q10 have better quality, but x9s have support HD Audio pass-trougth and Multitrack PCM decoding.
media center/file manager x9s is better than q10 , but q10 player APP have more advanced setting for HDMI output and Engine.
i hope competition between this two good players help to improve quality of playback and user experience.

- Q10 Pro w/native player, using 4K display, no frame slips
- X9S w/native player, using 1080p display, several slips. Restarted and no slips. Played a 3rd time to make sure, and no slips. Initial one may have been a fluke, maybe a NAS or network issue. Don't know
- X9S w/native player, using 4K display, no frame slips (which leads me to think above was a fluke)

And fix text justification on that paragraph (the second line is not centered).
Also you forgot to set capital letters on main submenu ("Exchange Eyeview, "3D Subtitle Line Spacing, 3D Subtitle Depth" and so on.) Do the same with all menus and submenus.
@hdmkv: I think you're american. Please let me know if I'm wrong with the above.
