. Agree Kodi forum isn't Zidoo support forum, but we can help each other out w/ZDMC (or Kodi) being used as a front-end (for managing our movie/TV libraries) & f/w, settings in using the native player for optimal playback.

i would like to purchase a z9s, my concern is that how is the performance of the smb of the z9s under 5G wlan. my experience is that the smb under android is very slow. i currently using kodi with webdav, and i can stream 4k remux under 5G withou any buffering.
or how is the zdmc look like? i can then use the webdav under zdmc just like under normal kodi?

@ hdmkv, Zidoo support is refusing to activate "ourglass" whitelabel / clone units anymore, so please confirm with them and update the post, as the device is useless without activation and on the other hand, seller does not respond at all.

Wow, really?! I'll remove the Ourglass recommendation from post #1. Zidoo hasn't been responsive of late in forums & such, and I'm no longer in direct e-mail contact w/them.

Zidoo clones are found on eBay. F/w updates are all from Zidoo themselves; see their forum.

As per seller feedback, they are genuine units manufactured by Zidoo with white label specific to seller's company "ourglass", but his company stopped their business and decided to sell the units on ebay.

Basically, the player doesn't function (won't let you open any apps) unless activated (using unique MAC address of unit) by Zidoo. Mine was upon e-mailing Zidoo support, but that was back in early September when I got my Ourglass unit. Doesn't seem like it's worth the risk now reading some of the feedback reviews on eBay.

Got mine right at the tip where they stop activating the device with the MAC address without activation the device is useless,great if you where able to get it at discount price activated by zidoo

so eseentially the x9s is best for 3D MVC stuff as it doesnt have stutters but if you us eit for any other material you get stutters?
