With ZDMC internal at least, you can probably apply offsets to audio as with regular Kodi. Question is whether the offsets are noticeable during actual video viewing... even the worst # +285ms that @wesk05 recorded (and this is specific to his home theater set-up) is only about 1/4 of a second. May or may not be noticeable.

Very Frustrating, i think we need answers, mirror88 assured me the box could playback 4k 24hz 10bit at 4k 24hz 10bit, as of yet i have seen no verification of this.
Set resolution of Zidoo to 3840x2160@24hz.
Set Deep Color as 10bit (you can choose auto, but it will always be 12bit).
Set Color Space as Auto.
Turn Off set set TV to 24hz mode when 24hz is detected --- this is the problem, i think it is trying to force 23.97 on 24hz or trying to force 24hz on 23.97??
Anyway it is a double negative and needs filing into a proper bug report.
At the moment i am watching 4k@24hz in 10bit 4:4:4 with DTS:X audio confirmed by Denon amp and no real problems.

Yes, but that's just IMHO... and the $109 X8 is now available off Amazon, eBay and GeekBuying. Should have identical performance. For MVC MKV's, I wouldn't get X8/X9S until 3D depth issue is resolved. For 3D ISO's, I think it's better than HiMedia Q5/Q10 Pro.

This is the same issue they had with the X6 Pro, Realtek in the X9S is better hardware than the one in X6 Pro and they still can figure out 3D Depth.

I only have a handful of SBS and TAB MKV titles, and no, depth and pop-outs on those are as good, but on a larger display (PJ screen), you do notice the half resolution (vs. full MVC) affect PQ.

And I just understood why wesk05 does not see any lag on star wars. He uses the VO DTS MA and the band is in French in DTS HRA
and it also fits on the iso, bd3d, the mkv 1080p h 264 or h265,
All folders that have a sound band in dts hd anyways.

VO en DTS-HD Master Audio = presque pas de décalage , très difficile a voir
VF en DTS-HD High Resolution = au moins 300 ms
VO DTS-HD master Audio = difficult to see but almost no lag.
VF DTS-HD High Resolution = at least 300 ms
ce sont les bandes son en DTS-HD High Resolution qui posent probleme !! et testé avec 10 films mkv dts-MA et dts-HR
The problem lies with the sound band in DTA-HD high resolution and tested with 10 films mkv dts-MA and dts-HR.

I think you need to make the refresh rate switching a priority, see my above post, but to summarize Refresh rate switching is causing black outs and audio drop outs with anything above 8bit in default media player.
and also in ZDMC if you enable Refresh Rate switching with or without external player the same problem.
To anybody looking to buy this box it could be good, but at the moment i am changing display rate and refresh rate manually on a file by file basis, it is the only way to get:-
4k 10bit 24hz and HD audio with no problems (except the lip sync)
1080p 24hz playback and HD audio with no problems.
Because you are manually switching for those modes you also then need to switch for other modes such as 25hz...
p.s. My TV supports 2160@50hz, that is what my VU+ solo4k satellite box outputs at, but the Zidoo can't sync with the TV at 3840x2160@50hz, so that is another bug.

May or may not be noticeable.I did those a long time ago. The Pi2 was very accurate. The Shield wasn't. May have to repeat the tests again sometime.

For me zidoo is better than himedia
They actually listen to what needs to be fixed too
