SimpleIPTV starts loading everytime i Start Kodi.How to stop it? - dirtyvision - 2016-10-11
I have a little Problem.I use SimpleIPTV Client and it loads EPG stuff everytime when i start Kodi automatically.
I have 2000 Dtations in m3u File so it sucks to wait 10 Minutes or so.
I really dont need epg Logos or stuff like that.
How can i stop this loading everytime i start Kodi?
Can somebody help me?

I just didnt want that it loads TV Guide.Because there isnt one.Kodi needs 10 minutes until its ready.How to stop that?

Please don't "bump" your own post so soon after starting a thread. People have lives and don't always see posts straight away.
The issue you are having is that IPTV Simple Client is designed to give access to your local or personal, legal IPTV streams, not for an m3u file of 2000 channels of dubious origin.

It's by design. There is no possibility to load channels/epg somewhen else

Really? If it's designed to give access to local streams (whatever those are) then why is there a time zone offset built into IPTV Simple client?
IPTV Simple is a wonderful PVR add-on but it should really have a way to set whether it updates on startup. In my view, it would probably be better to have no updates done at all and require the user to clear and rescan channels. Another issue is if one removes channels using the system preferences, the autoscan puts them back in the guide.
So, is there a way to disable auto updates completely?
I admit that I don't know much about the workings of the add-on but I think the original poster raises a legitimate point.
