When connected to the Hdmi 1.4 port I can switch the display driver to single display only. In this case 3d works while the hdmi 2.0 port is connected to the receiver. OK RE: Intel Kaby Lake Hardware - raidflex - 2016-11-15 A little different setup but with my GTX 1050 I am able to setup HDMI 2.0 to TV for video and displayport to AVR for audio. Kodi runs smooth with this setup even though the AVR resolution maxes out at 1080p vs 4k for my Samsung JS8500 TV. Kodi still runs in 4k even with the displayport connected to the AVR at 1080. I just use the blank display setting since I only use the AVR for audio. I also noticed there is no way to disable video and only allow audio though HDMI/Displayport, otherwise you loss all connectivity. I'm happy with the quality of the box. If 3D MVC would work with Kodi over the hdmi 2.0 connection the beebox would be perfect! Perhaps it can be solved with the Kodi build? Adapter will arrive tomorrow. Aluminium black. I have the club 3D active adapter for display port to hdmi 2.0. But I'm waiting for the adapter from display port to mini Displayport as the club adapter has a mini Displayport. RE: Intel Kaby Lake Hardware - Lucas Rey - 2016-11-17 Hello, I have read the whole thread but now I'm really confused. As I wrote in other thread I only need to play: - 4K video (togheter with "simple" 1080/720P videos) - FULL 3D ISO + SBS 3D MKV I had chosen the Brix GB-BKi7HA-7500 over the MSI Cubi 2 or Asrock Beebox-S Series. Only issue I seen on Gygabyte is that there's not CIR on board. May I ask if: 1) Beebox is the only box with the CIR 2) Based on your experience, which is the best box to fit my needs? Thank you very much Lucas RE: Intel Kaby Lake Hardware - Caramba69 - 2016-11-17 (2016-11-17, 13:56)Lucas Rey Wrote: Hello, I have read the whole thread but now I'm really confused. I don't think you will find somebody who has experience with all the devices. Im happy with the beebox, but there is an issue with the hdmi 2.0 port. Please see my next post. But is not clear for me if the beebox is able to play ISO 3D movies through KODI or through any external player (like TMT). RE: Intel Kaby Lake Hardware - Caramba69 - 2016-11-17 In regards to the Hdmi issue I have tried to use the display port and the hdmi 1.4 port at the same time. Unfortunately if you connect the display port to the hdmi 1.4 port the display port will be switched off. But finally I did manage to solve the issue. When I connect the hdmi 2.0 and 1.4 ports to my receiver to different inputs I can switch in the display settings of the Intel driver to use "single display". I also can reboot now without loosing the settings. I don't know why the settings were left lost when I rebooted a couple of days before. I guess I need to test this a little bit more and confirm this later again. So when I want to watch 4k with more than 30fps I switch the driver setting to use the hdmi 2.0 port/display and switch my receiver input to this port accordingly. Everything else works great with the HDMI 1.4 port. Sent from my HTC 10 RE: Intel Kaby Lake Hardware - Zokkel - 2016-11-17 Since Kaby Lake natively doesn't support hdmi2.0, manufacturers place an extra chip in their devices that changes a DP-port into a hdmi2.0. Hence the problems you all having? I don't know. Can someone confirm me that the so called hdmi 2.0 port on the beebox support 4K@24/25/30fps with 4:4:4 Chroma Subsampling AND 10bit? That means it is possible to display the hdr10 protocol as it should be. RE: Intel Kaby Lake Hardware - 753951 - 2016-11-17 I'm not sure what chip newest beebox-s models use, but if it's MegaChips MCDP28x0 then you can read data brief at http://www.megachips.com/products/displayport/MCDP28x0. Quote:The MCDP28x0 supports Ultra High-Definition video formats, resolutions as high as 4096 x 2160@60 Hz with RGB/YCbCr video color formats and color depth up to 16 bpc within the DP1.2 and HDMI2.0 link bandwidth limits. In addition, this device supports HDR imaging and pixel encoding conversion from YCbCr444 to YCbCr420. And... Quote:Max video resolution and color depth Their datasheet document (newer than data brief) says Quote:... has a DisplayPort 1.2a dual-mode receiver and HDMI 2.0a transmitter |
