No video only audio - Ali Karakas - 2016-10-20
Hi,
I just upgraded my system to Krypton 17 beta 3. Everything seemed normal during the upgrade but I have no video only sound. It doens't matter which source I use, my screen turns black. I tried live tv (sundtek USB + tvheadend), streaming sources
Does anyone recognize this issue and more important does anyone have a solution?
All HQ video-scalers are enabled

I can't seem to find the upload button for my complete log file. So this is part of which seems to go on and on if I change channels.
Is this something you can do with?

A FULL debug log is required and please don't copy / paste it here. Use pastebin or a similar service.

sudo apt-get dist-upgradeBtw. you cut your Debug Log again (!) - therefore I cannot tell exactly what version of ubuntu you are running. So post a full Debug Log <- just follow that link and we can find out.
Edit: Most likely your mesa is hopelessly outdated, too - so let's see what we will find.

I have the same Problem since Beta 3, but only with some DVD Menus (not with the Videos). I hear the Sound but no Picture. Then it is difficult to start the correct title,, if I nothing see. But the Navigation of the DVD menu works fine (I can blind select the correct title if I know which keys I have to press, for example 3 times line down).
I think it should be reproducable I have three DVDs (TV Shows) here which have this Problem for example the german Version of "Gänsehaut - die Serie" (Goosebumps) or Wickie (German Version).
if I have time I will send a debug log in the next days.

I just started from scratch. I started with kodibuntu 14.0 then dist-upgrade and now i saw:
New release '16.04.1 LTS' available.
Run 'do-release-upgrade' to upgrade to it.
So...i am doing that right now

I have enabled debug log, then starting the DVD, I'm Hearing only Audio, but see no Picture, then stop the DVD and disabling debug log.

It would have been possible with 14.04, too - but now you will expect the next issues during your upgrade :-)

Me - not sure what I will expect :-). I know that a whole lot can go wrong if update is not done properly. We will find out, let's see tomorrow.
