Profile-based menu blocking? - dingerjunkie - 2016-11-02

Hello All,

Is is possible to associate Context Menu access with particular profile rights in KODI? My kids have accidentally deleted a few movies that I wished to keep. I'm hoping that I can block ability to delete from/update the library on a profile level so only we grown-ups can alter content.

If not, is it possible to PIN-protect irreversible deletes of content in the interface?

Apologies if this is a retread question, but I haven't had any luck with recent searches on the subject.

you should be able to disable "Allow file renaming and deletion" per profile. Doubtful the kids will find their way into settings to re-enable it.

If you're sharing over a LAN, you could use read-only permissions on the remote share.
